The book starts out strong, then it turns into a trashy airport novel for multiple chapters! It was like listening to a cheesy porno. I almost didn't finish! luckily you can skip those chapters cause they add absolutely nothing to the story!

Captivating alternative to the King Killer Chronicles! The First Binding is an excellent start to a high fantasy series. This book is strikingly similar to Name of the Wind only set in a different culture.

The lead character is so pathetic it's hard to listen to! Silas! Silas! Silas! She is so aweful I found myself rooting for the ghosts to get into the house so I didn't have to hear about her addiction anymore!!!!! 😖😖

I had high hopes for this book so it was a bit of a let down! While the story was decent enough, it didn't live up to my expectations! The main character was so unlikable that I didn't care what happened to her! Kind of takes all the suspense out of a book when you don't care if anyone lives or dies! LoL!

I hate books written in the third person!

To be fair, my review might be a little bias. I absolutely hate books written in the third person, and they are so much worse as audiobooks! So far this book feels like I am having a depressed teenager read me closed caption! So disappointing! It sounded good from the summary, but I'm not sure I can get past the point of view it's written in to enjoy the story!

Loved this book! It has a very unique storyline, and the narrator was a perfect fit for the main character. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for something a little out of the norm!
Warning! You might not like this book if you're a little squeamish when it comes to violence, or if you are a highly religious person
