A call to sight and action

I’m almost at a loss for words. I enjoyed the book that much. I’m about to listen to it all over again right away and I don’t recall ever doing that. I feel like there’s so much here that I need to go back to get the rest out of it. Not because it’s a difficult “read” but because there’s so much beauty and wisdom in the work. Thank you sir for pouring your heart into this.

A Good Slap In The Face

This one is worth the listen for the thoughts it provokes. It starts out a tad slow for one still getting used to audio books. However, I’m glad I persevered. The story gets quite juicy and extremely close to home. Our citizenry is uncannily similar to this as is our political climate. The government we are currently under isn’t too far from this one at all either. This book shows you just how it can happen here and that it can happen to you. It deals with some difficult subjects so if you are easily offended you may want to move along. Otherwise enjoy the eye opener and the narrator’s strong voice.

This book is a strong reminder of who we are to be in Christ. It gives help in navigating real life dealing with sin in ourselves and others. It is a call to unity relying on the Holy Spirit for fruit and discernment of which people, ideas, and organizations one actually can be in unity with.

Whew, so good!

This one is chock full of truth and practical life lessons. He is at once intelligent, witty, and unafraid to speak his mind. Which he does firmly, leaving no room for excuses, but with understanding and love. I appreciate the way he speaks out of his experiences with psychology and spirituality. He does believe God the Father and takes Jesus seriously, it is evident in his recommendations for life. This is one I will be devouring again soon. There’s still so much here to glean.

I highly recommend this book!

This has a nicely layered plot with great character development. I actually disliked the main character at first but grew to understand her and enjoyed experiencing her growth. This book did elicit many a tear from my eyes since it hit close to home for me. The subject matter was excellently handled. The author did a lovely job of showing the joys and difficulties of dealing with people and our own imperfect selves.

Great content difficult listen

This book is a wonderful resource for everyone whether introvert or extrovert. I purchased the paperback version for my introverted daughter and am looking forward to talking to her about the material. However, it was difficult to listen to this audio version. The author seems to be a wonderful person but the “performance/reading” wasn’t up to the standards I’m used to on Audible.

Practical and therapeutic

I laughed, cried, repented, and rejoiced throughout this audio book. If you want to be challenged, loved, and lead into a closer walk with God then this book is for you. You will find yourself taking real steps toward a more joyful existence.
