Historia
When Jamie Andrews moves in with a house full of firefighters, things start heating up fast. Battling the wilderness of rural Montana, these guys are always charging into danger—for a living, for duty, for the rush—and since Jamie is a psychiatric nurse, they fascinate her analytic mind. She can’t help but fixate on Calvin, a grumpy, enigmatic smoke jumper ten years her senior. She makes playfully tormenting him her pet project, trying to get him to open up. It turns out he gives as good as he gets.

Fantastic story
Revisado: 11-29-24
This is the best Jewel E Ann book I’ve listened to in a while. Well done!! 👏
Narrators were good. The female narrator took a bit for me to get used to, but she didn’t bother me in the end.

Historia
Of all the things that could have landed in her yard, it had to be him. For most people, finding a half-naked superbeing in their yard might be a dream come true. Unfortunately for Gracie Castro, it’s the exact opposite. Especially when he’s grouchy, rude, and shows no signs of leaving anytime soon. But when a hero of mankind needs you, you do what you have to. Even if it compromises everything you know. And totally changes your life.

Super💥
Revisado: 01-19-24
I didn’t realize this was a romance with a super hero spin when I bought it, and I can’t believe how much I enjoyed it. I’m not sure any book has given me so many butterflies. Mariana’s sense of humor and creativity knocked this one out of the park. Duet narration by these two is the only way to go now. I almost want to start listening to it again…

To a village in the Scottish Highlands that plays host to an exclusive members-only club, Ardnoch Estate. If not happy, Walker is content working with the elite security at the club and maintaining his bachelor lifestyle. What he doesn’t need is distraction in the form of the enticing but too-young newcomer, single mother Sloane Harrow.

Revisado: 07-19-23
I really enjoy Samantha Young’s books. The adair books and this series have been fun! I like the grumpy sunshine trope a lot and Samantha does it well. The narrators did a great job with the accents, which made the audio very fun.
But just one thing… Ladies, for the love of God, if you are in a self defense situation and you have to shoot someone, aim for center mass and pull the trigger until the threat stops. None of this shoot them in the leg and the shoulder business. Being sweet and not aiming to kill the bad guy is fun for books, but I’d prefer the story about a badass girl who’s dad taught her to shoot to be a little more realistic as to what a daddy would really teach her baby girl in a life or death situation. Even well trained people have a hard time hitting their target from 20 feet with a pistol.
Worth a credit though! 😉

Historia
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Unlikeable FMC
Revisado: 06-26-23
I really liked the first book. But I still have 14+ hours left and I’m not going to bother listening to the rest. The FMC is unlikeable and I didn’t really feel the connection brewing. Also, drag is gay burlesque and inherently sexual. Lucy Score felt the need to advocate how fun and inclusive it is to expose children to inherently sexual “story hours”, and now I’m done buying her books.

Conclusion to a cute story
Revisado: 05-29-23
As far as the harsh realities of human trafficking goes, this is tame. But it also makes it an enjoyable story. Imagine a tattooed, ripped Milo holding a small albino child, gun drawn. Not bad, right? 😁

The first time I saw him, he entranced me and offered to help me forget my broken engagement. The second time was on a blind date with no last names and undeniable passion. The third time, I was eight months pregnant with his baby that he knew nothing about. This time, he's not letting me walk away so easily.

The male main character was fun. They both had their issues, but I was annoyed with the female MC’s “I can do it all by myself” attitude and the eye rolling. Definitely read Lovers first.

Briggs: Remember when we parted ways in Germany? It was the day I broke your heart. What you didn't know was that I was breaking mine too. I thought they'd be enough - my husband and my son. That I'd get home and everything would go back to the way it was...before the war. Before the ambush. Before you. But, no matter how hard I try, I can't erase the trauma we shared. I can't seem to forget the way my heart beat in time with yours. I thought the nightmare was over when they pulled us from that hole in the ground, but nothing could have prepared me for the war I'd face at home.

Intense emotions and story
Revisado: 05-02-23
This was a heavy one, but I loved it. Very heartfelt, intense love triangle. It kind of reminded me of Still Beating by Jennifer Hartmann. I can’t believe it was in my wish list for months.
I thought the narrators were great! A lot of reviewers came down hard on Tracy Marks, but I think she has a cute voice.
After this book, Drive and Flock, Kate Stewart is an automatic buy now.

Erotica, not a good story
Revisado: 04-28-23
I was excited about the mom’s fiancé plot, but the characters were unlikeable. Too much fiery sex without a love connection. I thought the characters were very shallow and undeveloped. He likes her soooo much compared to his other lays, but why? I also wasn’t digging the BDSM lite “please let me come, Mr powers” love scenes. The female narrator was obnoxious, but to be fair, she did a good job acting like a 19 year old with zero personality.

Historia
The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I’d always envisioned. I’d found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key. You see, my favorite songs had a way of playing simultaneously. I was in love with one man’s beats and another’s lyrics. But when it came to the soundtrack of a life, how could anyone choose a favorite song?

Blown away 💥
Revisado: 04-26-23
My heart broke and soared many times in this captivating story. I’m an avid romance audiobook listener and this is one of my all time top 10, maybe top 5.
I waited a few years to listen to this story. I’m glad I finally came around, and even better that i got around to it after the duet narration was released. The voice actors were perfect.
My original reluctance to listen to the book was based on a few of the reviews that made me believe some of our world’s cultural division would be present in the book, if you know what I mean. Which I can’t handle in my love stories, unless they are super subtle. However, I was enthralled with the light but essential Hispanic cultural aspects of the story. The main character’s personality was so freaking cute, and I found myself wishing I could be more funny and passionate like her. She’s hilarious and strong, not a victim, but an empowered cute lady. Amazing writing. Seriously, blown away, like a grenade.

Whoa!
Revisado: 04-16-23
Loved the build up - it kept me on my toes! I can’t wait for the next book. This is the first book I’ve listened to by this author. I was really confused by the female MC’s family and extended family, and I started to zone a lot of that out, hoping it wasn’t necessary. It wasn’t, but it’s probably really fun if you’ve listened to other Decker Family books and understand the family dynamics. Also, I’m not really into erotica so I was afraid it would be tons of MMF sex without a lot of character development and chemistry, but it’s a great story.
