This series is very enjoyable. More serious and believable than the Baby Ganesh serious, which are enjoyable but rather ridiculous in several particulars. Sometimes the main character in this series is as thick as a brick but overall the books give wonderful glimpses into the time and place. The zeitgeist of post-independence, post-partition India permeates the books. The reader is very good, only a handful of words mispronounced (always irritating for me). At times she does sound congested and that can also be distracting but her voice is very pleasing and she does a good job differentiating the characters. Thanks for a great experience. Looking forward to the next one!

If you are studying microbiology, especially this textbook, it is a very helpful companion. The audio lets you review the key concepts while driving, etc. Very well done. NOT extremely detailed but when listened to in connection with studying a great way to reinforce concepts.

Good story, pretty good performances, ridiculous music

This is a pretty enjoyable continuing story of Bean and Petra and the other battle school kids. As far as the story goes, it is likely to be where I part ways with the series as it becomes more involved with themes that interest me less, as happened with follow-ups to Ender's Game.

As to the production, the performers were good, with only a couple of annoyingly mispronounced words. There is some strange editing in one scene in which one word appears to have been patched or dubbed in a couple of times in a very peculiar, almost mechanical voice. It should not have passed into the final product.

The music is embarrassingly bad and does not contribute to the overall production. It sounds like a seventh grader fooling around on the instrument effects on his electronic keyboard. They should have left it out.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This series of audio lectures on anatomy and physiology is a great resource. While it is not comprehensive by any means, it is a great series of lectures on complex topics in A&P. For example there is a lecture on homeostasis, the structural units of bone, events at the neuromuscular junction, etc. Essentially one or two lectures related to each body system. It is great to listen to in the car, as a way to study passively. I have listened to the first 12 lectures at least 5 or 6 times each and they have enhanced my understanding and ability to cover more material more efficiently in the course.

What was one of the most memorable moments of VangoNotes for Anatomy & Physiology, 2/e?

My complaint: the lectures are indistinguishable from each other in my audible app. They show up as different "books" but they are identical except for the running time. It's impossible to know which topic you are clicking until you play the first 20 seconds. If it's not the one you want, click another. But good luck finding the other one when you want it. Honestly what a waste of time and effort! How about TITLES?!

Have you listened to any of Amy LeBlanc and Mark Greene ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The reader is very good, but there are a few errors which the producer should have caught: a phrase inadvertently repeated, awkward emphasis on the wrong word, misdirecting the meaning of a sentence. She has a good voice and seems to understand the material and I didn't have any argument with pronunciation.

Any additional comments?

Please please change the way these chapters show up in the app.

A great detective story set in Ancient Rome where the city and its futons become s character in the plot. Falco feels like an old friend. A good performance by Prebble although his accent mag be a bug refined. In some of the other audiobooks in the series, Christian Rodska gives a more textured performance.
