Romanticized Toxicity, Manipulation, and Cheating

That’s it, that’s all this story is. The FL cheats on her boyfriend most of the story with the ML, ML’s personality never gets better and mentally abused her and the FL cries all the time. It’s just the same thing over and over. No one is likable in this story. I almost made it the whole way (I didn’t want to waste the credit) but I just couldn’t do it anymore, it’s boring and frustrating and my blood pressure rose the longer I listened. I was bamboozled by the top reviews and someone recommended this book in some comment section. As I listened and realized how sh!t the book is I checked the reviews again, like the actual reviews and saw everyone else actually thought it was sh!t too but audible displays the top reviews instead of the average. DO NOT WASTE YOUR CREDIT ON THIS

Story is fine with a couple medical inaccuracies (example: mentions of the womens’ Adam’s apple and the ability to smell tears) but the issue is mainly narration. It’s not really edited so there are quite a few errors and it’s difficult to tell who is talking as all the voices sound the same. But honestly my issue lies with the offensive and inaccurate Spanish accent done for one of the characters. All of these things combined made it really hard to get into the story. It’s only part one so the ending isn’t satisfying and left me regretful of using a credit on this at all. Although I was intrigued by the storyline, it was definitely a “turn your brain off” listen that left me uninterested in finishing the series.
