I really enjoyed this book. The characters are quirky which I loved. Without giving it away, I'll just say I was very satisfied the way it ended, just what you wished for. I wouldn't mind this book becoming part of a series. The narrator Joel Froomkin, one of my favorites, is so good that the book sounds like a full cast production. The story reminded me of Sheri Cobb South's series The John Pickett Mysteries, (which has the same narrator), which I highly recommend checking out.. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review,

This is the fourth book in the series of Nick and Lesley Albert’s memoir about living in County Clare, Ireland, They had relocated from England for a quieter but more satisfying life.

I thoroughly enjoyed the stories of the family, friends, their wonderful pets, and life's trials and tribulations.. It is like catching up with old friends, from the good news of the blessed event to the very touching chronical of Lesley's mother's struggle with dementia and care I hope there will be another book.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is the 11th book in the John Pickett Mystery series. I have read these books out of order and each one stands alone.

John Pickett has resigned from Bow Street and is attempting to start his own investigation business. When someone finally answered his advertisement and he immediately takes on the client. The case has him investigating a women being held prisoner in a drug rehabilitation institute for opium addicts. In order to find out what is happening inside the rehab center, he has Julia commit him to the institution as a patient. Things go very, very wrong!

This was possibly the most intriguing story of all the John Pickett books. I can't wait to see how the story of John, Julia, Kit, and the new baby develops and am eagerly awaiting the next book.

I highly recommend this great mystery series, The narrator, Joel Froomkin, is absolutely fabulous and it sounds like a full cast production! I was gifted a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book in the series. I am very happy to read about John Pickett's beginning life at age 14. I have listened to the books out of order and each one stands alone. In this story, magistrate, Mr. Colquhoun sets up street urchin, John Pickett, in an apprenticeship to a coal merchant in exchange for room and board. John's future outlook improves when the magistrate later discovers that Pickett has quite the knack for solving crimes.

This is a great mystery series, and you will want to read all the books! The narration in each book is absolutely fabulous and sounds like a full cast production. I was gifted a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review.

I have listened to the books in this series out of order and each one stands alone. John Pickett, a Bow Street Runner (Early British policeman) and is going through a bad time and wishes he was never born. He hits his head, blacks out and suddenly finds that no one knows who he is anymore. This is a great mystery series, and this book has a different twist than the others. This story also answers some questions about John Picket's past. The narration in each book is absolutely fabulous and sounds like a full cast production. This is the 2nd book in the series. I have listened to the books out of order and each one stands alone.

Lady Fieldhurst is invited by Lady Holingshead to spend the summer at her Yorkshire estate. After a dinner party, the nearby vicarage was struck by lightning and caught fire. Tragically the vicar, who had just been at dinner that evening, perished in the blaze. But - the facts of his death just didn't seem to add up for Lady Fieldhurst. Not knowing how to proceed with her suspicions, she sends for John Pickett, a Bow Street Runner (Early British policeman) and asks him to investigate undercover.

This is a great mystery series, and you will want to read all the books! The narration in each book is absolutely fabulous and sounds like a full cast production. I was gifted a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review.
