Ally Condie created an interesting visual, perfectly building up character development and excellent description of this dystopian world. In the first of the 3 book series, everyone lives in this “perfect” society with rigid to keep it running that way. But as the series goes on, there’s talk of a pilot leading a rebellious group that might be helpful when an unexpected disease breaks out. How will this perfect society handle it?

This dystopian story continues to engross the reader as Kasha and Ky separately leave “society” and end up in the outer lands until they finally find The Rebellion Group that could change the world.

Chasing Ghislaine Review Plus Plus

I wrote Plus Plus because you get the very beginnings of the Jeff Epstein story which involves Ghislaine’s father and his death. Told from the Vanity Fair reporter’s POV, it’s very thorough and am appreciative they used actors to recreate the chilling phone calls btn Epstein and the reporter. I’m also appreciative this is told with reflective references to recent time periods and inserted with old phone references from that time period. Listen to this podcast!! You’ll be glad you did!

Rosemary-hidden truth

I truly learned new things about the Kennedy family I never heard before. But it also was told sympathetically and lovingly as the Kennedy clan grows with 9 children. Rose, the mother, tries many things ahead of her time to help keep Rosemary in the mainstream classroom and give her a childhood similar to her peers. Joe, her father, also gets involved too. But unfortunately using an innovative and experimental brain procedure on Rosemary-backfires and leaves her to need how to use her fine and gross motor skills again. With the family in the spotlight, Rosemary gets quality care but is hidden away from her family until they are older. Then she becomes the beacon which will shape politics and annual events.

Eddie Vedder rocks!

Very refreshing mix of Eddie Vedder summarizing his music career with Pearl Jam and as a solo artist, while naturally “picking up his guitar” to acoustically sing songs along the way. Well done and insightful!!

Listening to this audible book while he plays his music is resplendent! It’s relaxing and refreshing to always listen to Sting, but in this book his reflections have matured so much from his Police days along with his singing voice.
