love the book!

this book got frustrating at the end. it turned into a romance novel. I wish she hadn't gone that way. the reason I loved the first book was because a women was strong, independent and creative. the back and forth misinterpretation got tiresome as heck. the reader like with the first book missed appropriate inflection which is a pet peeves for me.

This is my favorite book!

I read it every few years! Recently I have trouble reading because I fall asleep before I can turn a page! audible allows me to listen while doing, driving or relaxing. I headed the performance lower than I probably should have but I found some vocalizations inaccurate to the emotion in the scene. But it was very easy to listen to and I am grateful for the narration nonetheless!

this woman is so smart and driven to succeed despite her psychotic family. it's sad and frustrating but you can't help looking forward to her winning even tho her family keeps killing her spiritually and mentally.🤪🤪

I kept rooting for this abandoned, against the odds wait, through all her tribulations. But as in everyone's life, the hardest lessons teach us the most and make us even more determined to win on our own terms, with OUR own definition of Life AND WINNING AT IT. Kia is a true hero! And if you know of the Lowcountry of NC or SC, you will look forward to the feeling of returning with each listen- minus the mosquitoes or gnats! Very Worthy!

I started this and then put it away. I started back up after I thought what hey! let's give it another whirl. I'm so glad I did! the characters were rich , dysfunctional, curious and some down right scary! There was only about 3 times I was scared. But the story is so odd you can't help but be entertained. I even cried a little at the end. If you like figuring out people and what they are all about, you'll Love it!

Life well-lived...

I have always been drawn to Mr. Larkin, since childhood. lost him until most recently in my early 50s. I needed this feeling of connectedness, hearing someone that has the same beliefs and many similar lessons, made me feel I really hadn't been screwing things up, just not fitting in with the norm, and that is the whole point of this grand adventure. Finding that which pushes us beyond the norm and always seeking more understanding of existence. thank you for the "shoulder bump" and "Yeah, I get it". I feel perfectly imperfect and relish MY interpretations. Namaste

Not bad! He pretty much gave you what he said he would. About 98% of his conversation was on point and not totally immersed in his story except to show you a practical application of the work. Many authors get stuck in their own story when writing these kinds of books, but he actually had a lot to offer. Thank you, Mr. Dooley!

But seriously a little too true! The epitome of a man's story, gotta have the dick and piss in it. Take that out with a few eye rolls and listen to the triumph and story of a brother from Philly DETERMINED to succeed!!! Well played Mr. Hart!

The "Anner-dote" to feeling blue!

Zach is sensitive, insensitive and so freakin' human, he took me off guard a few times with his sweet sarcasm, delightful story telling and wonderful sense of humor. He reminded me how to laugh authentically and FEEL good again. I felt so connected to his sense of humor, feelings and worries. I kinda just stopped worrying about human interaction and realized I can just let go and be me- some will get it and some won't. But either way it won't hurt as bad as NOT being me would.
I Love you Anner-Man!
