The story was riveting

The only critique I would have is that the reader ( who did great) did not change his voice when he switched to the various characters. I was confused a few times but overall he did great.

Great story but…

I really enjoyed Virginia’s amazing story. It’s wonderful that she chose to obey the Holy Spirit leading her to witness to her assassin. God is so good!
My only “negative “ comment is that she never explained her strange childhood and how Elena had such power over her mother in that she separated them. It’s all left unsaid. I suppose out of respect for those involved but the reader was drawn into the story and then thrown out…

A teeny tiny critique

This was such a marvelous story with a talented reader who has a lovely , crisp, accented voice. A great listen.
I only wished that the characters who were Russian or Eastern European could have sounded so.
To listen to the cruel Russian guard with an English accent was briefly distracting.
I feel silly even mentioning it as the story was so well written and so well performed. 😊

A couple of annoying things

The reader was good except for the accents she used didn’t make sense. The 2 main female characters ( from Kansas), had slurrpy southern accents. The Indian in his village had a Russian(?) accent. Then there was the loud metallic “PING” that went off every so often in the audio. I think we pay for clean audio when we buy a book. Other than those 2 negatives, it was a fun example of God’s goodness and forgiveness I thought. Worth listening to

Amazing story!

I have read many stories told in the first person, often it sounds a big braggy. But Darlene’s story was real, raw and I fell in love with her beautiful spirit. This was an excellent story and read excellently as well!!
