Historia
A matinee of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs awakened something within Don Bluth. Despite growing up in rural Texas and Utah, he practiced and worked hard to become a Hollywood animator. And after working alongside his idol Walt Disney, and on films including Sleeping Beauty, The Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, Winne the Pooh, The Rescuers, and Pete's Dragon, he realized that the company had changed into something he didn't necessarily believe in. So he made the industry-shocking decision to start his own animation studio.

Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice.

Average True Crime
Revisado: 05-11-24
3 STARS ⭐⭐⭐ Average True Crime story. I've read better. I've read worse. Still worth the effort of reading it through to get a good story. One that I have never heard of before. True Crime fans will enjoy this book.

The First Half, The Second Half..
Revisado: 04-08-24
⭐⭐ 2 STARS The second half is a disaster train. For me personally, it wasn't what I had hoped for. Changes gears on you and your left with *wtf?!*. Meh. Not the best. I feel bad for Amy though. God rest her soul.

Historia
A vicious 15-year-old droog is the central character of this 1963 classic, a frightening fable about good and evil, and the meaning of human freedom. In Anthony Burgess' nightmare vision of the future, where the criminals take over after dark, the story is told by the central character, Alex, who talks in a brutal invented slang that brilliantly renders his and his friends' social pathology.

O My Brothers.. It's A Horror Show!
Revisado: 02-24-24
The worst classic I've ever read or listened to. I just couldn't get into it. Like, what?! I did listen to the whole book, but I couldn't tell you close to what I listened to at all. I don't know if it was the way it was written or the accent at which it was read, it just didn't do anything for me. Maybe it will do something for you and other people, but it's a hard ⭐⭐2 STARS for me. Sorry. I tried.

Hard To Follow
Revisado: 01-18-24
⭐⭐ 2 STARS First of all, my two star rating has nothing to do with Sarah's story and what she had to go through. I didn't particularly like the narrator that was chosen for this book. I feel that a different accent would have been better sounding. the story, especially the first half, was hard for me personally to follow as there was a lot of name dropping, history of the family, parts that seem to be repeated, and a general bounce from one thing to the next. I feel sorry for Sarah and all that she has endured and suffered. I give her five stars for coming out and telling her story, because that is not an easy task. it's amazing how the wealthy and famous can be complete monsters allegedly. Still worth a read, especially 2/3 of the way through.

Narration Narration!
Revisado: 12-31-23
Molly Shannon has written a wonderful and hilarious book here. Her narration brings her story to life. I mean who better to read it, right? I always enjoy hearing about SNL and all of that, but I really enjoyed listening to her explain about her dad and growing up and all the trouble that she got into. Like so many of these books that I've read, it takes a lot of dedication and work to make it big. The biggest thing, I think, is just not giving up, to keep going no matter what happens. It all sounds like it's not for the faint of heart, this thing we call 'life experience'. Great book Molly! You've always been one of my favorites. Superstar!
