I've been seeing the author promote her book for some time now, and while I appreciated the topic and wished her success, I think I felt like I knew enough about dua not to need this for myself.

However, when she shared a woman's dua story on her Instagram page, I found it so inspiring that I decided to get the book for myself, and by chapter 14, I was gifting audible and Kindle copies to my friends and family because I was so inspired by the stories she told and the way she told it.

Reminders benefit the Believers, and while I had heard most of the advice laid out in this book, the way it was laid, the personal stories from the author's life and the lives of her interviewees, and the way she weaved all of those together with traditional reminders from the Prophets, Companions, and scholars of the past was new and makes this a must read book.

So whether you're new to the concept of dua or think you know it all, this book is truly an inspiring journey through the hows and whys and art of making dua that anyone who strives to be a Believer can benefit from.

This was a really cute YA love story that touched on some very serious social issues but with a deftness that highlights their importance to the characters without taking away from the light-hearted romance budding between the two lead characters.

I'll admit, I'm a little (actually a LOT) older than the average YA reader, but I love this genre because of the way the impossible looks possible from YA eyes, and that's what this book has in spades-- a teenager doing the impossible for love, over and over again, because he hopes and he knows something better is possible. The whole cast of characters came to life for me-- Jillian, Franny, Kate and Jack, in cute, funny, poignant, and at times heart-breaking ways, and the audiobook narration is one of the best I've heard. I started with a smile and I ended with a smile, and as a reader, I can't ask for anything more.
