This was a solid book 1. The characters were interesting and entertaining. You can see the potential character depth already. Turns out a kraken for a best friend and bonded soul is pretty badass and OP.

After the jarring and kind of rough start I was a bit worried this book was going to end up a dud. About halfway through I realized that I was completely grabbed by the story and how it had developed! Ended up thoroughly enjoying this one!

Interesting and engaging

Thoroughly enjoyed this take on an Isekai Progression Fantasy. The characters aren't super fleshed out, but this is a first book of a series and you can see the starts of some serious depth potential. I definitely look forward to when book 2 releases.
