Historia
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Revisado: 02-02-25
So much that we need to get busy and and make a stand for what is right for God are we living for ourselves or are we living for God? Wow his part on Ronald Reagan was really amazing. I’ve never even thought about it like that. Very good. I hope all pastors and priests listen to this and all Christians in general. We need to make a stand.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

I was taught that if one partner comes with drama due to their upbringing experiences, if the other partner is always chasing after them to “help” which is codependency, that the relationship is still considered sick. So I just don’t know anymore.

Historia
It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. Except, perhaps, for Winston Smith. Whilst working at the Ministry of Truth, rewriting history, he secretly dreams of freedom. And in a world where love and sex are forbidden, where it’s hard to distinguish between friend and foe, he meets Julia and O’Brien and vows to rebel.

Freaky awful but is happening now
Revisado: 05-17-24
One of the trippy mine baffling, scary listens I’ve ever heard you could see it in your head like a movie. The music was creepy and incredible but a little loud. It’s hard to hear with the people were saying over it. This is definitely a must read for everybody in the world, it’s happening as we speak. It’s horrible. Can’t even come up with the right adjectives to describe how awful this is excellent writing and acting and I pray Jesus sins for us soon before this happens fully in America and in the world because it’s gonna be worse than that in the last seven yearsbefore Jesus comes Henry establishes the Earth and brings in only those who didn’t deny him

Historia
The story opens with the apparently accidental drowning of a sixth form student in the Norfolk countryside. As a matter of routine, or so it seems, the case passes across the desk of Detective Sergeant Smith, recently returned to work after an internal investigation into another case that has led to tensions between officers at Kings Lake police headquarters. As an ex-DCI, Smith could have retired by now, and it is clear that some of his superiors wish that he would do so.

I didn’t know if I would like this
Revisado: 10-03-23
Because of the voice of the narrator. He was fun with his dry sense of humor tone it’s just his voice overall is rough and drool. But I stuck it out and it was a fun adventure who did it story. I think a better voice would work better.

Entertaining and has good values!
Revisado: 09-18-23
(There were a few cuz words in the first half but not too bad. And she even says “oh my gosh “! I loved that!
Anyway it was a great story and realistic and like a movie and fun and intriguing and suspenseful! Didn’t even get into intimate sexual scenes! You knew what would happen but you don’t need details. And even some old fashioned values like honesty and patience!
Loved it.

But excellent narration
Revisado: 09-17-23
The voices were good. I had to come back and share that they were great and I wondered how a new author with a short story could get such great voices when there’s other “great “ stories but they get terrible voices. Don’t get it. They made it entertaining. I liked how it wasn’t too ugly and deep. I could have done without swearing God and F bombs! That’s one thing that authors need to understand, that people read or listen to get away from the ugly vocabulary you hear from drunks and drug addicts you see talking in stores or parks or beaches or restaurants even. When you don’t hear these words for a good while because you go to places where the people don’t talk like that (my smaller town away from the city) then all of a sudden you go to the city and you hear it much more often as if it’s just the normal vocabulary it makes me cringe. I moved away to get where it’s cleaner and better quality and atmosphere especially since I stopped talking that way years ago when I “matured” you might say and got around people who don’t talk that way and grown closer to God and being better spiritually. I really don’t like those hard words. There are other words that can be used or even say “they spoke profanities that turned my stomach and the others nearby who heard”. That’s tells it all and then we don’t have to hear it or read it. IMO

Historia
Nancy Wake, nicknamed 'the white mouse' for her ability to evade capture, tells her own story. As the Gestapo's most wanted person, and one of the most highly decorated servicewomen of the war, it's a story worth telling. After living and working in Paris in the 1930's, Nancy married a wealthy Frenchman and settled in Marseilles. Her idyllic new life was ended by World War II and the invasion of France. Her life shattered, Nancy joined the French Resistance and, later, began work with an escape-route network for Allied soldiers.

Amazing woman but the voice was
Revisado: 08-16-23
Too too fast. And no up and downs. Just reading it through word for word. No expressions and just too fast. I slowed it down but didn’t help. Just that same voice. There’s so many other voices that are so much better. Why hers? The one who did Helene (her story too) was 100% amazing! No problem no bordem and pauses. This is just gooooooooo onnnn and onnnnn. I am so very disappointed. I really wanted to hear this.
