Historia
When Bruno Caravaggio confesses to a murder he didn’t commit, Damien returns to Atlantic City to find the killer and clear his friend’s name. His task is complicated by Bruno’s desire to protect his mother and her equally strong instinct to defend her son. While Damien is away, Millie agrees to look into the claim of an eccentric Carmel-by-the-Sea resident that her children are trying to poison her. Her investigation leads her to Rancho Luna Azul, which sells its meat at several farmers markets in the area.

Love the Era!
Revisado: 12-28-19
No cell phones or fancy tech here. Just plain old detective work by a loveable couple. Narration fits the era and the characters perfectly.

Great "buddy" adventure
Revisado: 06-17-18
OK, so I am not a fan of the sound effects, but they are easy to ignore and the book itself if great as is the narration.
Jude and Grover make a great team and the narrator does of good job handling the bickering yet getting the message across that these guys real do care about each other.
Hope there are more adventures in their future.

This boxed set contains 3 complete science-fiction novels. This is science-fiction at its best - future engineering, intrigue, first contact. It’s a space opera like none you’ve experienced before. The audiobooks will keep you listening late into the night, and you won't be able to stop....

Great Detail - Everything seems real
Revisado: 06-02-18
First - over 32 hours for one credit is a great bargain. Each of these three books is a full length novel.
The stories starts with Tesla's theories about propulsion and finally ends with first encounter. Reads like a history, except it hasn't happened - yet.
The audio was fine. Either they fixed it or I am less picky than some others. Truly enjoyed this and will be buying the next installment when available.

Historia
It's almost midnight, bitterly cold and snowing, when a beautiful young girl, Tabitha Willard, throws herself off the Walnut Street Bridge into the icy waters of the Tennessee. Harry Starke is there, on the bridge. Wrong time, wrong place? Maybe. He tries but is unable to stop her. Thus begins a series of events and an investigation that involves a local United States congressman, a senior lady senator from Boston, a local crime boss, several very nasty individuals, sex, extortion, high finance, corruption, and three murders.

If you love Harlan Coban, Tami Hoag, Michael Connelly, or Lee Child, you'll also love Harry Starke. Harry is no Reacher or Bosch clone. He's a force unto himself, but the fans love him. If you like realism, fast-paced, nonstop action, you'll love Blair Howard's highly acclaimed series. Grab this box set of the first three stories now. You won't want to stop listening!

Great Series!
Revisado: 07-08-17
I purchased Harry Starke #1 a while ago and loved it. I went to buy #2 and found this set of 1 - 3. I could get #2 & #3 that meant for just one credit. If you have not bought #1 yet, this is an even better deal.
All three books have completely different plots and can be read as stand alone books, but they are even better if read in order. Harry is maturing, becoming more complex and growing up in many ways. In #1 he tends to jump a little too much from bed to bed, and in #3 he is completely settled in with the girl of his dreams for example.
The narrator is the same for all three titles which is fine with me. He does a great job of becoming Harry Starke. Being written in the first person if he didn't make the character as real and completely genuine as he sounds the books would not be near as enjoyable.
I will be buying the next set which is also available with books 4 - 6.
Long live Harry Starke!

Keeps you interest all the way through
Revisado: 05-14-17
The opening introduces the concept of time travel through at least three distinct period of Earth's History. Past, present, and future. It had my interest right there.
While billed as a kind of Boy Scout Handbook book for the stone age it is the plot and character interaction along with all the exciting action as man against man and man against animal are described in very realistic detail that really draws you in and makes you want to keep reading faster and faster.
The narrator was perfect. I always knew who was speaking. He is really engaging as a story teller and crystal clear.
I will be waiting to listen to the next in the series.

Great premise
Revisado: 02-19-17
For most people I think the basic "science" of this book will be plausible. Certainly enough science-speak to make it seem that way.
My big complaint is that the book moves at an absolute snails pace. There is some humor to lighten the load. The opening especially is light and fast paced. After that however it seems to become almost a diary of a not very interesting character.
I thought all things considered the easy going tone of the narrator was perfect.
