Desperately needing re-recording.

This is 2019. China has long emerged as a world power. It is shameful that the reader selected to read this book was chosen though he lacks any ability to read or pronounce the Chinese words using the official romanization system, pinyin. Should these have been Spanish words interspersed throughout a reading, it is hard to imagine that Audible would carry a recording of it that butchered the Spanish pronunciation, rendering it nearly incomprehensible. In this reading, nearly unintelligible place names and historical figures at pivotal points in the book take away from the story on the whole. The book stands on its own and I won’t comment on it. It is definitely not a book for the faint of heart and it details many atrocities in great detail. Much of it goes against most histories of that period of time and challenges popular notions. I am so appalled at the disrespect that carrying this butchered recording of this book shows. Re-Record the book.

Nice Voice, poor quality

The quality of this audio is really disctacting. It is only available in format 2 which is described in audible as AM radio quality. I couldn't agree more, and i rarely listen to AM radio as a result. Why spend this money on a poor quality recording. when there are free versions of this public domain translation available online? Very Disappointed. I would choose another if I still had the points i spent on this. I gave it two stars because it is the bible and i would feel bad to only give it one.

the end is worth the price

I didn't really relate to many of the situations that she mentioned in terms of ways of falling into the pit, and I felt the message wasn't personal to my needs, but the end was worth the price. She ends with a chapter of recorded scripture prayers that have been as instructive as they are comforting. Set to nice music, really inspiring me to take my own prayer life to new levels. I recommend this to everyone for the chapter of recorded scripture prayers.

I found this audiobook to be a very useful tool for developing my prayer life. The reader is cheerful and affirmative. She gives good advice which I found to be different from much of the prayer instruction I'd received before. Overall, I had a great experience with this book and i would recommend it to others without doubt.

WONDERFUL BOOK

I'm not a professional screenwriter. I have writing background and an english degree. Recently I've taken an interest in the possibility of pursuing a career in screenwriting. I've had limited experience with film and the industry but I can tell you that from my experience, this is the most concise, informative, and encouraging book. I've listened to several and his stands out as the best in my opinion. He doesn't use a lot of flowery metaphors or talk about mythology and artistic b.s. but instead, directly- skin and bones with some meat thrown in for chewing on- tells you the basics and offers suggestions for the aspiring writer. I like it that he uses example in well known movies as well as the fact that he stresses the importance of making a script marketable and offers suggestions about how to accomplish that goal while preserving your artistic and creative goals. I'm a very satisfied customer... THANKS!
