Historia
In July 1890, Vincent van Gogh went into a cornfield and shot himself. Or did he? Why would an artist at the height of his creative powers attempt to take his life... and then walk a mile to a doctor's house for help? Who was the crooked little "color man" Vincent had claimed was stalking him across France? And why had the painter recently become deathly afraid of a certain shade of blue? These are just a few of the questions confronting Vincent's friends who vow to discover the truth of van Gogh's untimely death.

Art and mystery
Revisado: 10-29-23
His listen mixes the world of art-artists and their paintings- with a mystery, and fantasy. the PDF is a nice touch to ground the story. the story itself captures the life in France and the effect of the sacred bleu.

A delightful, simply story about the effect books can have on one's mind, body, soul...life. The story is told from the perspective of different characters, joined together through books and a library. A nice read...

Historia
Ben McKelvie believes he's moving up in the world when he and his fiancée buy a house in the cushy Washington, DC, suburb of Barcroft. Instead he's moving down - way down - thanks to Madeleine Roux, the crazy neighbor whose vermin-infested property is a permanent eyesore and looming hazard to public health. First Ben's fiancée leaves him; then his dog dies, apparently killed by a predator drawn into Barcroft by Madeleine's noxious menagerie. But the worst is yet to come for Ben.

Interesting story line
Revisado: 07-16-23
I'm not really sure why I purchased this book in the first place. But I was looking for what I thought would maybe be an easy listen one evening, and picked this book. I found the story line captured my attention and the characters engaging. The reason for the attacks seem trivial, but really wasnt. The transformations arising from fears seemed rather logical. Actions were easy to visualise based on the prose. Narration was easy to listen to and made each character distinct. Hope the next books are as good.

I find Agent Pendergast to be most interesting...his logic, his perspective, his demeanor. Intelligent with physical prowness. Narration helped distinguish the characters.

Love the twists on Sherlock Holmes
Revisado: 06-13-23
The creative license taken with the usual, known Sherlock Holmes cases is delightfully entertaining. Deductive reasoning resides With Dr Watson and the counter intuition with Warlock. The narrator is superb, making all the characters come alive as unique players with all the proper emotion and credibility. I love the entire series. One more to go, which saddens me. Thank you Mr. Sending for writing this series.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Engaging in a sweet, nostalgic way.
Revisado: 05-12-23
This book is about a number of characters and stories that intertwine overtime. It gives human traits to a Pacific octopus, I forget the word for that right now, that make him come alive. It gives older persons hope about family. The combinations of narrators is very good - lends to distinguishing perspective.

In "Murder at the Mousetrap," the first Bunburry book, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. Alfie McAlister has retreated from London to the peace and quiet of the country to recover from a personal tragedy. But an accidental death - which may have been no accident - reveals that the heart of England is far from the tranquil backwater he imagined.

Internationally best-selling author Lyndsay Faye became enamored with tales of Sherlock Holmes and his esteemed biographer, Dr. John Watson, as a child and later began spinning these quintessential characters into her own works of fiction - from her acclaimed debut novel, Dust and Shadow, which pitted the famous detective against Jack the Ripper, to a series of short stories for the Strand Magazine, whose predecessor published the very first Sherlock Holmes short story in 1891.

Micro gifts
Revisado: 03-07-23
Do each of us have some kind of micro gift? it appears some have strong ones and others weaker, but it just could be that some of our own personal traits may be micro powes. Though this appears to be a young adult book, enjoyed the word play and the story line.
