Historia
The tight-knit residents of Blue Moon Mountain, nestled high in the Colorado Mountains, form an interconnected community of those living off the land, stunned by the beauty and isolation all around them. So when, at the onset of winter, the town veterinarian commits a violent act, the repercussions of that tragedy will be felt all across the mountainside, upending their lives and causing their paths to twist and collide in unexpected ways.

If I listen to it again I can leave a review.
Revisado: 02-10-23
I think that overall it's easy to get the idea mixed up throughout each chapter that there's an "hour of twilight" for every character in the book. I don't see how they could have each had the same feeling of epiphany where their stories get seriously mixed up. I think it's more like the hour of confusion, it's got more depth when you pause the chapter every ten minutes to reflect.

Everybody loves scary stories, and nobody loves them more than children. Storytellers Richard and Judy Dockrey Young gathered these stories from the most discerning of critics: the children themselves.

Typical Teenage Angst
Revisado: 10-22-22
Can anyone say you might as well just watch "Teen Mom" on MTV? I expected it to be a lot longer than the hours. I followed the whole story. I'm not sure I like the way it stereotypes families who find themselves handling unplanned pregnancies with their underage children. But then again it's not like a horrible story at all. It's very ideal. This is they way I imagine solutions happening for young adults who find themselves knocked up at thirteen. What's the best you can do you know?

Historia
Ken Myers offers fascinating answers to questions about pop culture. He sees it as a culture of diversion, preventing people from asking questions about their origin and destiny and about the meaning of life. Two aspects stand out: a quest for novelty and a desire for instant gratification. In addition, this culture offers something very appealing: the illusion that we set our own standards, are the master of our fate, deserve a break, and are worth it.

This was a great title to have the opportunity to "read" in audio form. I couldn't help but notice how often the book mentions new terms I've never heard before, it was a little intimidating but since I have the internet I ended up marking a lot of spots to take notes on later. Thanks for making this title available.

Historia
Innocence is a modern gothic coming-of-age story, a devastating X-ray of American culture, and a piercing exploration of a teenage girl growing up in New York City. Narrated by 14-year-old Becket, the novel traces her relationship with her widowed father, her encounters with the intimidating Beautiful Girls at school, her attraction to the mysterious and dangerous school nurse, her attachment to the raffish Tobey, and a series of devastating nightmares that threaten Becket's life.

I'm feeling effected by the author's use of colors, sounds, textures, and emotions she uses to describe the characters and their surroundings! A beautiful story to be told over and over again.
