Could and should have been better

Story line is good, writing is plodding. A good editor would have helped a lot. Lead character at 38 acts more like an annoying teen.

Getting impatient

After three books I hoped the author would move the characters forward. The female at 27 behaves like a toddler having temper tantrums. All others have no depth of character. Very flat. I keep listening because the story line is good and the characters have potential. It's wearing thin. The normally very good narrator has difficulty latching onto the personality of each character I think. Kinda cartoon like actually. I have difficulty caring about any of them and I wish I could.
Loved the idea of the story line.

The future facing earth..

Great book, narration and story. Though done as fiction,this author had the courage to deal with a subject that is very dangerous to talk about. The deep state, and the unbelievable lengths the NWO will go to to achieve control. Look around and you'll see it happening world wide (media won't tell the truth) . Look to what is being done to Canada,Britain,Sweden and even the US. As one reviewer said, "Interesting but non believable plot" , it's totally believable and real. These people as in the book are ruthless and think nothing of killing innocents. Great book, Mr. Mather stay safe.

CORRUPTION IN VACCINE INDUSTRY a must read

Her book apparently spoke a little too much truth. She tried to tell us in a novel of the danger, now educate yourself - nobody can do it for you - on how FDA scientists are paid for by big pharma companies.

What disappointed you about Step Beast?

The main female(Tilly) who supposedly was a University Grad, had the brain power of a door knob.

What could Selena Kitt have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The super stud ex-marines had girl voices. Not very convincing.

Story concept of book was okay, but the character "Tilly" ruined it all.

What would have made Her Imperfect Groom better?

I loved Wallace and Edwina but found the other characters very annoying. They either lied (Edwina's mother) interfered with (her brothers) or were completely useless (sisters' in law). A story of Wallace and Edwina alone would have been wonderful, this really wasn't a romance, but a frustratingly annoying story of people interfering in their lives.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Louisa Murray?

Not sure

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Her Imperfect Groom?

I'd cut out all the manipulations and most of the other characters whose sole purpose was to thwart and interfere with two "imperfect" people trying to connect.

What didn’t you like about Vanessa Chambers’s performance?

Her male character voices are just goofy. Wrath sounds like an idiot cartoon animal with a mouth full of cotton balls. The stories are great but the male voices are very distracting.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the female investigative reporter (Tessa) was smarter than a chunk of wood.

If you’ve listened to books by Pamela Clare before, how does this one compare?

The first one was great. This one I fast forwarded so much because I couldn't believe what a blundering idiot Tessa was. I would put her common sense somewhere around 12-13, but I don't want to insult that age group.

I'd replace the female lead with someone who has a brain that matches her supposed credentials.

What would have made The Story of Edgar Sawtelle better?

I loved the story, the characters but the ending left me empty. More than empty. Couldn't believe it. I invested so much time in all the characters, the dogs, and enjoyed every twist as the story progressed. I think the author must have been called to dinner or something cause he just killed everybody off and said

I was hoping there would have been sequels...Edgar, his mother, the dogs, Henry .....
But hey, when you kill off the lead character in book one what would be the point.
