Bad Romance, Predictable Story
Revisado: 02-21-21
It feels like someone who's never had a romantic relationship wrote this. The desperation and unhealthy jealousy and attachment was palpable and the main character was just dumb, like a lot of main characters have general dumbness to move the story along, but this is a new level. We also don't find out much about the main character personally, just his current situation, so no back story explaining why he acts in the ways that he does. Even a small bit would've been something. You don't get to actually know the character whatsoever past the desperate need for the girl.

Great Story & Flawless Narration!!!
Revisado: 02-04-20
I have to admit, the book wasn't what I was expecting, but I LOVED IT!!! I fell in love with the characters and the story itself. Matt Godfrey is an amazing narrator, to the point where I could picture each and every character without any trouble at all. Overall, 20 stars, would listen to again!

Historia
Did you know women walk more, eat less, socialize more, meet more men, dance more, and flirt more when they're ovulating? Or that PMS may have evolved to get rid of boyfriends with unfit sperm? Behind the "fickle" differences in what women find sexy about men, or what they like to wear, there's a hidden adaptive intelligence shaped over eons. Rather than making women irrational - as the conventional and irredeemably sexist wisdom goes - the female hormonal cycle has been exquisitely fine-tuned to give women the advantages they needed to succeed in our ancestral environments, and perhaps also today.

Not Once, but Twice
Revisado: 12-15-18
I bought the paperback of this book back in 2014 and immediately fell in love with Mr. Offerman's beautiful storytelling abilities. He writes in such a way, you think you're reading a Mark Twain novel until he swiftly throws in a "Mother Fucker!" or a "69ing furiously in the bushes" and you're suddenly either a) laughing your ass off or b) nodding your head in approval or c) both.
I have, sadly, lost my physical copy (and all those glorious illustrations, which really pisses me off because I had so many goddamn notes and bookmarked pages, it was probably twice the original size) and I do a lot of driving, so I turned to Audible. And, let me tell you, hearing it straight from the horse's mouth is incredible. Seriously.
Honestly, just go buy a physical copy and the audio version. They're both fucking worth it.
Thank You Mr. Offerman,
Jordan
