Historia
Unusual requests are commonplace at the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, but so are very ordinary ones, such as a plea for money: when a distant cousin calls on Mma Ramotswe to ask for help with another relative's hip operation, tricky questions arise in regard to family responsibility. Mma Makutsi and Mr J. L. B Matekoni are far from convinced of the merits of the request, but it is hard for Mma Ramotswe, with a heart her size, to turn people away.

Good but just missing some details.
Revisado: 05-02-21
I read the summary of the book before ordering and then realized some of the things mentioned didn't even happen. Not one of the best in the series, but still not bad. I did enjoy the narrator again, I think she does a good job.

Historia
There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, its coleslaw and its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms Stephanie Plum.

Love this series. There were many moments in the book when I burst out laughing, most of them were to do with Lula, and her adventures in the deli. I cannot wait for the next in the series. Narrator did a great job.

Boring
Revisado: 05-31-19
I think Patterson is running out of ideas with the Murder Club books as this one was boring, maybe he needs to concentrate on something else. There was no suspense, you already knew what was going to happen before it happened. There was just not enough happening in the book to keep you interested and could have been finished in one chapter.
Also, the narrator just sounded stupid, I lost concentration most of the time because she was so dull. Probably need to get a new narrator.

My first ever Audible book and had to try this one first as I love the series. Loved this one too. The narrator was amazing, I just loved listening to her voice. I found it was so much better to sit back and listen to the story instead of reading. I cannot wait for the next in the No. 1 Ladies Detective series.
