An eye-opening experience
Revisado: 03-08-16
A book for every "I-want-to-be-more-healthy" human. Listen, learn, and grow! This book is a masterful look at what is wrong with commercial agriculture and medicine. Then, it provides straightforward practices to counter this commercialism. It is scientifically based on research and the author's own medical practice experience. It is more than just mere words complaining about agriculture and medicine, it provides solutions - which makes this book unique and worth the time. Read it now! Your family will thank you.

Best book on running martial arts schools, period.
Revisado: 12-05-13
One of the best books on running a martial arts school ever written, and I have read a lot of them. It takes the theoretical knowledge of many different business books available and places them all in the practical setting of a martial arts school. Absolutely wonderful!
Well written and packed full of tremendously valuable knowledge that can be implemented right now, regardless of your status in the martial arts teaching field. I have listened to this book five times since purchasing it and each time, I take away something new I can implement in my business. The sections on the structure of your business and the different programs that can extend your business is very valuable.
Chaz Allen does a great job of narrating the book as well! He is very pleasant to listen to even if you speed up the narration to 3 times normal.
If you are only going to buy one book on running a martial arts school...buy this one!

This is exactly what went through my head as I read this book. "Why didn't I think of asking that question?" "Man, that is such an obvious question." John G. Miller will definitely have you thinking about asking the right questions in order to help you succeed. This book should be read by everyone in a leadership role in your company.

The new question: Ten years after the worldwide bestseller Good to Great, Jim Collins returns to ask: Why do some companies thrive in uncertainty, even chaos, and others do not? In Great by Choice, Collins and his colleague, Morten T. Hansen, enumerate the principles for building a truly great enterprise in unpredictable, tumultuous, and fast-moving times. The new study: Great by Choice distinguishes itself from Collins’s prior work by its focus on the type of unstable environments faced by leaders today.

Choose to become Great NOW!
Revisado: 02-07-12
Continuing in his great tradition, Jim Collins adds to the already fantastic works of "Good to Great," "Built to Last," and "How the Mighty Fall," with "Great by Choice." This book is aimed at the entrepreneur who has a dream of building a great company, one that will outlive the founder and become a pinnacle of the economy. Collins does a tremendous job of pointing out how great companies make specific choices at the beginning of their creation to become great and never wavered from those decisions.

"Have you ever felt caught between the tension of a day job and a dream job? That gap between what you have to do and what you’d love to do? I have. At first I thought I was the only one who felt that way, but then I started to talk to people and realized we’re becoming the “I’m, but” generation. When we talk about what we do for a living we inevitably say, 'I’m a teacher, but I want to be an artist.'"

You REALLY want to be a Quitting Champion!
Revisado: 02-07-12
This is a great book that dispels the myth that you must jump off the dock before you see the dream boat and hope you make it. Jon Acuff outlines a strategic vision for quitting, one that doesn't sacrifice your family and your future happiness in order to succeed. Acuff shows us very simply that your day job should be the patron of your dream job not an antagonist of it. Fantastic book for the entrepreneur or wanna-be entrepreneur!

THE Treatise on Delivering Customer Happiness!
Revisado: 11-22-11
This was an amazing listen! I listened to it twice and was more engaged the second time than the first time. To listen to the risks he took and yet how well he engaged important business concepts was thrilling. It seems even the times Tony was on the verge of bankruptcy and insolvency he had in place systems to carry him through it. His open mind when looking at his business was refreshing and his creativity in getting the most from his team was amazing. This is a book every business owner should read because it shows how to create a company that is truly unique yet takes every advantage to provide the best experience to customers. When the customer is happy, the company is happy.
