Historia
In recent years, intermittent fasting - restricting calorie intake for a set number of hours or days - has become an increasingly popular diet strategy. While some in the medical community initially dismissed the idea as a dangerous fad, recent research not only validates the safety of fasting for weight loss but also offers compelling evidence of wide-ranging health benefits, from reversal of diabetes and other metabolic disorders to enhanced cognitive function and increased longevity.

A Comprehensive Approach to the Fasting Mindset
Revisado: 03-27-23
This book is like three different books in one; there are there aspects presented by three different people - Dr. Fung is more the scientist, Eve is the personal human you relate to, and Megan is the clinical, behavioral and coach who motivates you to think. I found the portions written by Dr. Fung regarding the scientific understanding of how the body process food and produces energy to be thorough and understandable. (5 stars) I felt like the portions written by Eve could have been omitted without changing my impression of the material or presentation. Too much of her "personal" story, which is certainly relatable and for some may help them consider how fasting can help them, for me fell short of inspiring and more anicdotal. Some may want or need this kind of "down to earth" approach while reading something like this. Megans content was great, I see the necessity of her wisdom in a book like this. Overal, I think that this book is one of the best ones on the subject of fasting. If you're someone who has heard about the idea of fasting then I strongly recommend. I will add, beware, much of the content created by Eve Mayer and Megan Ramos seem to be geared toward middle-aged women, the likely target audience, who struggle with weight and image issues related to weight gain, but there is enough good sound wisdom in their presentation to merit reading for anyone curious about the positive outcomes fasting can have. We don't just need to rethink how we eat, we need to rethink how we live and the factors that are driving our daily habits. Food is only one aspect of this, but it's a big one... This book provided much of the basis for my own lifestyle changes. I recommend reading this book with an mindset of changing core ideas about lifestyle, rather than just simply as a means to lose weight. Fasting is legit, and it's a even more legit way to live. This book will teach you how to take control of food.

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Revisado: 06-17-21
story just seemed like a setup to another book... too much attempt at humor that the narrator just doesn’t pull off or just isn’t funny... follows the current real life political arch too much, no creativity with villains in this story, their just bland bad people while the good guys always have. every dotted i and crossed t just perfect... it’s not believable after book 2... angelica becomes a monster, no one ever expresses doubt or any sort of emotion... i liked book one... but the last two... just not enough in the story to be interesting anymore...

one thumb up, one down..
Revisado: 04-13-21
Would love to give this a 2 thumbs up. I can’t. It’s a good story and I do like the story of the Mad Mick... but i just couldn’t get past the one of the character... the daughter of the Mad Mick gets down right obnoxious for no reason. There’s a pretentiousness about her and she doesn’t get along with anyone. No depth to her. I mean let’s face it character development in stories like these isn’t a huge factor when it comes to the story... but Barb is a frustrating train wreck... here anger has no basis or back story... in comparison to her persona in the first novel, she’s just a seething mess of anger that doesn’t nothing to aid the story. If she were vulnerable or her anger were more realistic the. i think i wouldn’t care, but the fact is she just became a caricature. Good story and i like the series, just couldn’t get over this character... i don’t think making her more genuine, less hard and obnoxious would have take. away from her ability and badassery... it’s why i can’t give it a better rating... narrators Irish accent is gone from the first few stories where it was better... tolerable... overall good listen..Kevin Pierce is okay... no RC Bray, but a fun ride nonetheless...

Epic Fail!
Revisado: 11-25-20
Have you ever gone to sleep and had such a vivid and realistic dream, that when you woke, you could almost feel the reality of the dream because it was that epic, that real? well, Ready Player One is that dream. On the other hand, Ready Player Two is you sitting at a stop light, on the way home from a long grueling day at work, daydreaming about that dream, while trying to imagine how to recapture and actualize some small tiny sliver of it, only to realize, it's just not there anymore... To quote the character Wade from Ready Player Two... who is actually quoting someone else in the story I think... "You either die famous, or live long enough to be hated" ... I think this particular story lends itself to the later of those two realities... Ready Player One was great, this one is is for the cult followers... the rest of us, it's garbage... In fact, wish I could go back, and pretend this one never happened at all... not to mention, the volume of pretentious virtue signaling, which others point out, can't be understated. I think it was there in Ready Player One, but the story and characters were still the primary focus, despite it's presence; on the other hand, the story of Ready Player Two seemed to be written to highlight it... At the end of the day, I'd really like to remember the characters the way they were before this epic fail came out!

The chance discovery of a mysterious substance changes everything when he gains superpowers and learns that it’s the key to saving the colony from an evil that nobody but he knows is coming. great story... loved it... many parallels with the original Matrix, but with super hero’s context and the bad guys that have souls and choices! like how every one is not grouped into just good guys and bad guys but each character has choices... makes for good story. highly recommend — can’t wait for more! Good... Better....
Revisado: 06-02-20
Good and better then many in this genre... not the best though... but an Entertaining, good story... I liked it... worth the credit! However, my glitch on this one goes like this... I think many consumers of this genre figure out early on who the bad guys really are, and will in this one... Personally I find that it takes away from the thrill of the unknown about the story. Maybe because, at least for me, instead of plot twist and character development driving the story, you begin the clue in and fuss at the blatant ignorance of the protagonist in not seeing the obvious... yet the author gives no reason for suspicion, but you the reader just know it... it like the curse of the 44 minute television crime drama... who done it... well it has to be one of the minor character in the first 15 minutes of the show because no character in a show is their without a reason... and it’s never discovered in the end that the person who did it, had previously been in the show somewhere... I think that’s what’s going on here... I wish that the author could have developed the bad guys to be “good guys” making it impossible for me to see them any other way... until it became obvious at the end... it not terrible in this one, but it is present and something I keyed in on pretty early on... and so I just went with it... I just felt like the author of the story telegraphed the traitors in the story by not providing enough backstory for their presence In the group... i couldn’t latch on to them... they happened to show up after the real danger began to unfold... I wasn’t emotionally invested in their plight, or the fabric of their relationship to one of the main characters. I mean the author created the scene and explained it well, but for some reason I just saw them as out of place, in the group... I think even the Kentucky militia figures it out... I think that it was a mistake to try and misdirect the audience and garner sympathy for them by having them be viewed as victims of bigotry because people in the story, backwoods militia, called them “Russians” because everybody that talks like this must be Russian... and Russian are universally evil right? But actually in fact, minus being Russian, that’s exactly what they were... evil!!! It actually does more to support the stereotype... so then was the author trying to bate me into Ignoring the possibility of them being bad actors in the story because they experienced bigotry, was that one of the method of he used to make me fee empathy for them, which was suppose to suppressed the feeling I had for them being out of place in the being... because maybe that would make me stereotypical in how I view Russians... just food for thought I suppose... now go listen and try it out for yourself, what say you?
Lastly, the fact they were vouched for by the main character because they “had risk their lives to save him” — isn’t that what espionage is all about, doing whatever it takes to accomplish the mission... so would Mike have been inclined to be at least a little skeptical of their attachment to the group... the reality of it is they never did anything suspicious, I just knew they were bad guys... no one else in the group was skeptical of these two... just my perspective... like I said I enjoyed it... it’s worth listening to for sure... we’ll written, good characters... Not too over the top... which makes it a good one to give a listen to... 3.8 stars!!! RC Bray... the voice of God!!! Love his narration!!! You’ll love it too!

If John Rambo were a legendary helicopter Pilot... he’d be Gil Conner!
Revisado: 05-28-20
Overall good story, very believable... if hero has genuine and authentic...though I thought the initial way he was going to handle his health misfortune actually was a bit hard to see as as plausible... someone who spends any credit and praise they earn with superiors, selflessly advancing the well being of others, regardless of personal sacrifice, though they may contemplate what Conner was planning... I don’t think they act on it... but I’m not a shrink... just felt like it didn’t fit... was heavy on tedious details... that was the only distraction listening but the narration of RC Bray at speed 1.3 is sensational... over all 4.5 stars...
