Historia
The woman is Talulla Demetriou. She's grieving for her werewolf lover, Jake, whose violent death has left her alone with her own sublime monstrousness. On the run, pursued by the hunters of WOCOP (World Organisation for the Control of Occult Phenomena), she must find a place to give birth to Jake's child in secret. The birth, under a full moon at a remote Alaska lodge, leaves Talulla ravaged, but with her infant son in her arms she believes the worst is over - until the windows crash in, and she discovers that the worst has only just begun.

Put a Chick in it and Make it Lame
Revisado: 01-05-25
I enjoyed the first in series, so bought the second one halfway through the first, not expecting the main character and narrative to change to an un-likable, self-centered female character who could do no wrong. This book should have been titles " Feminism for Werewolves". Time and time again in the story, our female protagonist is depicted as being the best man in the room. Every male character is either someone for her to hook up with, un-explainably comic-book evil, or bumbling & Subservient to her will and "rightness". Our heroine was never in any real peril, and nothing bad is allowed to happen to her because she is female. Of course, she is threatened with grape, yet kills her assailant first with an eyebrow pencil! Like how The Rock has a clause in his contract that he can never lose a fight, this heroine can only be slightly and temporarily threatened as a way for her to easily triumph and show dominance over the men who scare her. The entire cast of characters orbit her like she is their sun, though she does nothing but put them in danger, make their lives worse, or get them killed. And, or course, she practices ethical Non-monogamy with her as the Alpha to demonstrate her empowerment. There's a line towards the end of the book where she self-congratulates herself for thinking to herself that her dead husband could never appreciate one of his ex-Lovers like SHE can now...of course because SHE is a better man. This book is written from the viewpoint of an over-powered, un-accountable Teenage-minded girl with no life experience or insight, yet she has mysterious, magical augmentations that make her un-deservedly "the one" for everyone she encounters. Unlike the first book in the series, this won't appeal to men looking for story or action... so who is this written for? Ouch.

Historia
Christmas is the most important holiday of the year. After the corresponding days that exalt the national pride of each country, such as Independence Day in the United States, Victory Day in Russia, or Bastille Day in France, it's December 25 that articulates the life, the work, and the economy in much of the world, including many non-Christian countries. Since ancient times, the beginning of winter has been the occasion for most people to eat, drink, dance, and get together to beat the drum and take a break.

mythological garbage touted as documentary fact
Revisado: 02-15-22
what a load of garbage! this is a contradictory mess of religious mythological fantasy told as a factual documentary though the events happened over 2,000 years ago. Saint Nicholas here is credited with actually more works of miracles than Jesus himself... poorly written... it actually contradicts itself inside the same paragraph much less multiple contradictions every couple of minutes, the narration is extremely poor the book is boring to listen to and I requested a refund

booooorrring... nothing ever happens.
Revisado: 02-05-22
being an audio drama it's interesting to listen to and the sound effects are great... the entire story our populated with unlikable characters all in angst over present or past situations that I don't care about even after listening for hours and hours.... and nothing, I mean nothing, ever happens.... you could pick up this program halfway through and start listening.... and within a few minutes know everything you would need to know having missed the first few hours...

Historia
Ataegina was an isolated world of medieval castles, varied cultures, and conquests, vibrant until the demons rose and spread relentless destruction. Swarms of lethal creatures with black husks, murderous claws, barbed tails, and dreaded “tooth-tongues” raged through the lowlands, killing 90 percent of the planet’s population. Terrified survivors fled to hidden mountain keeps where they eke out a meager existence. When a trio of young warriors discovers a new weapon, they see a chance to end this curse. To save humanity, they must fight.

young adult coming of age book for other children
Revisado: 08-01-21
it's not an aliens book or set in the aliens universe it's a young adult novel about the lives of children children in a fantasy world... told from the viewpoint of children, I guess for the listening enjoyment of other children.... the world building is needlessly complex trying to teach you so many new vocabulary words and strange character names that no actual story gets told

Historia
In "People in Hell Want Ice Water" - an eerie and suspenseful short story about connection, trust, and self-preservation - a random hookup amidst the COVID-19 pandemic brings two lonely people together when they need it most. Colin is an immunocompromised software engineer living alone in Los Angeles when he meets Martha on an early morning walk. She’s irreverent and mysterious, and although Colin knows better than to invite a stranger into his house, it’s been over 40 days since he’s been touched, and he can’t resist the temptation.

Revisado: 01-04-21
this is a dumb subject to write a book about and to spend any time listening to... in an attempt to be trendy we have a book here that's all about a man terrorized in his own mind over covid-19... it's an implausible fear giving to an implausible story... with a lead character that seems mentally defective. pass...

Revisado: 12-23-20
it's not about zombies the book is actually about nothing... there's no story arc that's interesting enough to even follow for a minute... nothing really happens the protagonist is an unlikable jerk who speaks about himself as if he has great insight while all his actions are immature and ridiculous...nothing happens here there's no reason to have zombies even in the book there's no reason to download or listen to this book at all...

aliens becomes woke
Revisado: 11-30-20
if you like the aliens universe you'll listen to this...if you like woke feminism politics you'll love this. every single male character is not only a villain but he's sociopathic in some way... the only male that is the exception to this is a neutered computer program that like Pinocchio is not a real boy.... most everyone of the diverse independent and strong female characters it's shown to be a better warrior, smarter, more moral and resourceful, and overall a better leader than any of the males they have dominion over. one of the colonial marine like soldiers is mentioned as transitioning... for no purpose as it doesn't have anything to do with the story.... other than virtue signaling,... if you can get past that...the story is interesting and what you'd expect almost as if they broke down every single interesting scene from past alien movies... and figured out a way to recombine them in this story... it's an interesting touch to have the alien also be a vector for a horrible virus which gives it even more power... however the science of the virus transmission and its effect on living people is like most science in this story... shallow and unrealistic.

Historia
More than 40 years after it ended, the Vietnam War continues to haunt our country. We still argue over why we were there, whether we could have won, and who was right and wrong in their response to the conflict. When the war divided the country, it created deep political fault lines that continue to divide us today. Now, continuing in the tradition of their critically acclaimed collaborations, the authors draw on dozens and dozens of interviews in America and Vietnam to give us the perspectives of people involved at all levels of the war.

too much anti-war agenda at the end
Revisado: 08-20-20
the book is long and detailed and interesting.... easy to listen to...about 80% of the way through at the author begins along anti-war agenda which is fine for a little while... it's kind of like when a cage fighter wins a match and then tell the audience how great he is it's okay for a few minutes but after several hours it starts to become excessive... after several hours of his see I was right the war was bad flat it started to put the whole book in question for me I started to realize that there was probably some kind of hidden agenda and the pointy were bringing while they were right started to seem like they were more trying to convince me then teach me.... so the book and its entirety now that I'm complete with it seems a little needlessly political but I can't put my finger on exactly why it's like many passages in the book don't quite seem right now....but I don't know enough about it to tell you exactly why....I do recommend the book but I'm disappointed with it being more of an agenda driven explanation if I want polarizacion I'll watch some YouTube video not read a 27-hour book

feminist romance zombie apocalypse fiction
Revisado: 03-17-19
at one point in the story a male character says it seems like a romanticsoap opera around here, and that sums up. this book.another character says I'll spare you the details, which is what the author does with anything interesting that happens here.why would the author write this kind of book? she obviously has no knowledge or interest in science curiosity about zombies... refers to every single gun in the book is either a pistol or a rifle... without ever naming it.she has a male characters obsessed with getting guns all the time but never hardly mentions ammo. the entire book is written around characters having feelings...once the ceilings are over we go back to nondescript action that has nothing to do with those feelings. the author has no insight or curiosity about tactics... everyone just rushes headlong into every battle... she doesn't understand the power of Guns and every conclusion of a battle is decided by a spear or a knife.the characters are interchangeable I have trouble telling the difference between them especially since they all had the exact same South African accent. every male character gets his comeuppance or is dominated by a woman.. the only compelling description of anything's but ceilings is in violence against women, and that's how all bad guys are reflected not in anything that they do other than potential or implied violence to women. the villain is shallow and a caricature... and of course is finished off by being killed by two young girls...cement characters are all being portrayed as I peed like stoic women who can only be men by repressing their seeding emotions. the romance is repetitive and predictable with a band inexplicably falls head-over-heels in saint boy like love with a woman who resist his advances over and over and then only reluctantly accept him.. this is like a Harlequin romance with zombies. the optional zombies are never described as anything other than the zombie male for the zombie female... we don't know anything about them or even what race they are because it doesn't matter...80% of the zombies are killed by being stabbed through the eyeball, over and over and over every zombie is killed by being stabbed through the eyeball salmon in heroin has a special weapons across she sharpened and her preferred method of killing zombies is to stab them through the eyeball.I suffered through three of these books hoping that it would get better and it did her riding on the characters feeling improved much...at the expense of the details about plots tactics guns the apocalypse survivalism science forms of government how men would really think combat tactics food.... really anything other than ceiling. who exactly was this book written for? how many romance genre female readers are going to be interested in a zombie scene the romance book?
