it's a great backstory about one of the most interesting characters of this world. and it was very well narrated; you can recognize the characters by only the change in voice tone

relaxing but with an unexpected loud end

everything was great and I was getting sleepy, until the end when an unexpected loud voice said something like "this is an audible narration" and jerked me awake.

this change of volume and tone happens at the beginning and end of every episode.

if you use it for sleep, I recommend you put the timer before the end of the episode

It was good, but got repetitive

I enjoyed the first book a lot: Sadima's origins, Happ's fear and incorporation into the school of magic, the dark aspects of the story. However, this second book becomes extremely repetitive, especially Happ's side of the story: wizards knock on his door, he goes to class, is hungry, afraid, and mad; and, he has problems with. That accounts for almost all of Happ's story. Sadima's side is better; there is more suspense.
