I absolutely loved this book! Marriage in trouble books make me a little nervous now because of my own situation in my personal life, but I’m so glad I read this one. This book definitely hit hard at times, but I was rooting for Dom and Alessandra to reconcile and get back together.

I loved how hard he fought to get Alessandra back after he realized how badly he had messed up. I also liked seeing more from the couples in the previous books. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Vasquez were the narrators for the audiobook and they both did a fantastic job in their performances. This was a really emotional story and they delivered on the emotions! The characters felt so real.

wonderful start to this series

I am loving making my way through Catherine's backlist and can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

I wasn't really a fan of Hayes in the beginning because I felt he was a little too cruel to Everly, but he grew on me throughout the story. I loved Everly's determination and strength. I felt so bad for her for the treatment she received from most of her family. I love that Hayes' family was so kind to her and so willing to help her rebuild.

The suspense built throughout the story and ended with a plot twist that left me reeling. I was not at all expecting that. The queen of plot twists strikes again!

Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber both did an amazing job in their performance and bringing these characters to life.

a series full of emotion and suspense!

This series was full of so much emotion. The suspense built perfectly throughout each book and the plot twists had me internally screaming! The bond between these characters was amazing and so heartwarming. The friendship between the women was one of my favorite thing about this series. Another favorite of mine was the children. AL Jackson writes the absolute cutest and sweetest kiddos, you can't help but love them all.

I'm really glad that I buddy read this book with a friend. It helped a lot that I was able to talk and vent about things as they were happening in the book.

I absolutely could not stand Ryan. Just when I thought that he couldn't get any lower and it couldn't get any worse, he would do something else. I was in such a rage and was seething throughout this book. Something was revealed about Ryan that made me feel bad that that happened to him, but it 100% does not excuse the things he did.

I was rooting so hard for River to get away from Ryan and I was so happy when it finally happened.

Absolutely outstanding performances by both of these narrators. I really don't have words to do it justice.

Can’t wait to read the other books

I feel like I probably should have read the Bailey Brothers books before I started this series, but I am definitely going to go back and read those after I finish with these books. I'm really intrigued by the Havens and Baileys so I'm looking forward to reading through both of these series.

Grumpy x sunshine and forced proximity is one of my favorite trope combinations so I really enjoyed this book. I was surprised that there was very little spice though, since that's pretty different from the other books I've read from this author. It wasn't a bad thing and I didn't mind, it was just different and surprising. This also felt a little insta love-ish too which I wasn't expecting.

One of my favorite things about this book was the dog, Max. I love that everyone described him as derpy lol.

I was not at all expecting the twist behind who was stalking Audrey. I was so shocked!

I listened to the audio version of this book, narrated by Connor Crais, Ava Erickson, and Scott Rose. Connor has the perfect voice for a grumpy character and Ava came across perfectly as the sunshine

Good start to a new series

I really enjoyed the Cottonwood Cove series so I was really looking forward to starting another series by this author.

I liked seeing Romeo soften toward Demi throughout the story and then watching their feelings for each other grow into a sweet connection and relationship. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

I've listened to a lot of books lately with these narrators (not necessarily in the same book) and I'm not sorry about it! They are among my top favorite narrators and are always nice to listen to. Connor's voice was a perfect fit for grumpy Romeo and the same goes for Samantha with cheerful Demi.

one of my faves of the year for sure!

I really loved this book. I honestly don't even know what else to say other than that. Life hasn't been very kind lately and this was the escape I didn't know I needed. This book made me laugh, made me cry, and so many other things.

I enjoyed getting lost in Scarlett and Asher. Their banter was so funny and the chemistry was on point. I got a huge kick out of the text group chat between the team members, especially Noah (iykyk). I also enjoyed the cameos in this book.

I'm so looking forward to the next book in this series!

Stella is one of my favorite narrators and is always a pleasure to listen to. She does a great job of bringing out the emotions in the book and rocks her performances. This was my first time listening to Shane and wow! I can't wait to find more books that he has narrated. He did an amazing job bringing out all the emotions in this book as well.

sweet second chance story

I'm always up for a second chance romance since that's one of my all time favorite tropes. I really enjoyed this one. I loved getting to see Laina and Luke rekindle what they had before. I was rooting for them to be able to work things out so they could be together.

This was my first time listening to both of these narrators. They were nice to listen to, but I just wish that they both had changed their voice a little more to differentiate between characters. Sometimes they seemed to blend together so it was hard at times to tell who was supposed to be speaking.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to seeing what will happen next in the coming books for this series.

Troy and Dahlia were cute together. I liked their back and forth banter. Things did seem to move pretty fast with them though. I really enjoyed getting to see Lincoln and Ford again.

I like that the suspense built throughout the story and I was shocked at the reveal!

Narration: CJ Bloom is one of my favorites and I always enjoy listening to her. She does an amazing job in her performance each and every time. I wasn't really a fan of Connor's narration. He didn't seem to change his voice very much between characters so at times it was hard to tell who was speaking.

such a beautiful story

This was actually a reread for me, this time with the audio version. I first read this book in 2016 but wanted to experience it again through the narration by Emma and Lance.

This book was just as emotional as the first time I read it. This book hit a little bit different and deeper this go around, with the situation in my own life. While mine won't have the same happy ending, I still rooted like crazy for Ty and Elin to get their HEA. These characters felt so real. Emma Wilder and Lance Greenfield really did an outstanding job in their performances. They nailed all of the emotional aspects in this story. I couldn't think of a better pairing for this book.
