Entertaining with some deep topics
Revisado: 11-03-22
Very good book. Thought it was going to just be a light read, and while it was funny and entertaining at times, it also broached some very deep subjects in a respectful way. Well done.

Historia
Murphy Shepherd's last rescue mission very nearly cost him his life. He'd like nothing more than to stay close to his wife and daughters for a while. But Bones's nemesis must be stopped, and there are so many who still need to know they are worth rescuing. As the cat-and-mouse game moves into the open, Murphy is tested at every turn--both physically and mentally. Then the unthinkable happens: his beloved mentor and friend is taken. Gone without a trace. Murphy lives by the mantra that love always shows up. But how can he rescue Bones when he has no leads?

Excellent series
Revisado: 07-30-22
The Murphy Shepherd series has been an eye opening series for me. The books are riddled with the evil that lurks in the darkest corners of the world. Liberties are taken with what seems likely when it comes to some of the details, but the overriding theme of one outweighing the needs of the ninety nine, and the selflessness with which these characters live their lives is something to think about in a world so focussed on self promotion and desires. Very well written, and I loved how the epilogue brought us full circle back to the beginning.
