Kay Whiting Harrison shares her personal journey through the twists, turns, triumphs, and tragedies of her life as she secretly struggles with a mental illness. She copes with a severe and terminal disability of one child, a life-threatening illness with another, financial pressures, and other life challenges while trying to keep the demons of depression and anxiety at bay and hidden from the rest of the world. Powerful and Helpful

A unique and beautiful perspective from the author's perspective of her suicide attempt and suffering from depression and anxiety. Also very important perspective shared from her spouse on the events. I love how Kay turned such deep emotional pain into healing and empowerment a she continues to help others on their healing journey through recovery. Ao many feel so alone and Kay's vulnerable story can help those suffering from mental illness as well as those supporting a loved one going through similar feelings or experiences. I love how the author explains her thought process, through her past traumas and into the decision to end her life. Highly recommended.
