Historia
My name is Alexis Delaney, and I'm your average 17-year-old girl. Except I'm a Necromancer. Which means I can see the dead, talk to them, and help them move on. Well, I used to be able to. Someone has sealed the Veil. Now the dead are stuck here. And with the extra energy floating around town, the ghosts are getting stronger. It's been two months since I came to Spring Mountain to live with Uncle Rory. And the guys, my five best friends, have done everything they can to help since.

Great story but needs editing
Revisado: 09-26-19
I love the story and the narrator is one of my favorites. But the book seriously needs editing! Every laugh is either a chuckle or a snort, often even several times in one sentence, and that's just one example of the same word being used when so many other synonyms are ignored. Otherwise I like the story enough to keep listening... I just hope this issue is resolved as the books go on, because it's extremely distracting to hear the same words used over and over.

Historia
After seeing her maybe-mobster boss murder a guy, Delaney James assumes a new identity and pretends to be a mail order bride. She finds her groom-to-be living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day. Weird. But not as weird as what she doesn't know. Her groom-to-be is a 400-year-old vampire.

Super-fun series!
Revisado: 11-06-16
What made the experience of listening to The Vampire's Mail Order Bride the most enjoyable?
This entire series is just ridiculously fun from start to finish - the characters are all unique and interesting, their interactions are natural, and the situations they come up against interesting and the solutions surprising. I just listened to the entire series in about a two-week span, and not once did I feel the plots got repetitive or boring. It makes me want to move to the town of Nocturne Falls!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I can't even choose, I love them all.
What about B.J. Harrison’s performance did you like?
He's one of the best audiobook narrators I've listened to, and that's saying something! His voice is smooth and lovely, he sounds comfortable and his character voices are distinct without ever sounding like he's working at it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I love how (and this goes for every book in the series) what you initially think is the main conflict always turns out to be minor in the face of the REAL issue. Each book is slightly predictable in the sense that there's a twist, but those twists are never anything you see coming.
Any additional comments?
Fantastic. Can't wait for more!
