Good Storyline
Revisado: 04-10-25
I really liked the storyline but I’m not at all a fan of profanity so it really really lost me there. The performance by the reader was good and kept my attention. Overall it was a good story but could definitely do without all of the GD’s and F’s.

Historia
New York, 1898. The only thing more shocking than Arthur Stanhope III’s unexpected death is the revelation that his will bestows his company—and most of the vast fortune that goes with it—to the nearest male heir, leaving his mother, wife, and daughter nearly impoverished. His widow, Sylvia, quickly realizes she must set aside her grief to ensure their daughter, Adelaide, is launched into society as soon as the appropriate mourning period passes.

Not to mention all those voices telling her she doesn’t have talent. But then the vacant lot of weeds next door starts to shimmer.

A Good Listen
Revisado: 07-27-24
I liked the idea of the book! There were times when I would have to really focus to stay interested in what was happening but overall it was good. The focus of a garden party filled with creative individuals of the past was a cool concept.

Captivated!
Revisado: 07-21-24
Barbara Davis never disappoints! The story is so well written and you feel like you could sit and have a full conversation with the characters by the end of the book. The narration was good and kept my interest the whole time I was listening.

Historia
The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore ( Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving.

Strange but Good!
Revisado: 08-15-22
Okay, so I was about halfway through this book and was thinking how weird it was. I told my husband I didn’t really wanna finish it but was invested at that point even though it was weird but I’m really glad I finished it! The ending brings everything together and makes it less weird. The person reading the story was AMAZING! I’m literally about to go see what others he has on Audible because he reads the stories so well!
