Historia
Once upon a time I spent an evening flirting with a handsome stranger in a bar. But before we could finish what we started, I lost my nerve and fled. Months later, I’m minding my own business at work one morning when a stranger lets himself into the empty brewery. Panicked, I call 911, and the cops show up to slap on the handcuffs. In my defense, I have very good reasons to be afraid. Also in my defense, I’d never met my boss’s son.

Revisado: 07-15-24
I'm a huge fan of Sarina Bowen and honestly get so excited with every release-Golden Touch was no different. I loved getting to dive back into the Giltmaker universe and was hooked from start to finish with this book.
Nash and Livia were such interesting characters to me. Like I said, I was hooked right from the start, wondering immediately what was going on with Livia. I wanted to hug her and help her figure things out. Nash had me grinning. These two provided such a perfect balance to each other and I was all in rooting them on.
I felt like I could live in this little world. The narrating team of Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige just brought everything to life so vividly! They embodied the characters well and really performed all the heat, banter and wit in this one perfectly.
If you haven't read Sarina Bowen yet what are you waiting for?! Books like Golden Touch are the perfect example of why she's an automatic one click, pre-order author for me! Check this one out!

What I meant to do: quietly divorce my lout of a husband and then have a child all on my own. What happens instead: my crush comes back to town when I’m at my most vulnerable. After too many cocktails, I ask him to be my baby’s father. In my defense, it’s been a rough couple of months. Seeing Matteo Rossi again after 14 years has done a number on my emotions. And my libido. In the morning, I’m hoping he’s forgotten the whole thing. But no such luck. In fact, Matteo has a few clarifying questions. And a few naughty ideas, too....

FANTASTIC five star read!
Revisado: 06-06-23
I was so excited to get my hands on this book-and it definitely did not disappoint! Good as Gold had me hooked right from the start and kept me captivated throughout. I laughed, I definitely cried and I swooned sooooo hard. I absolutely loved this trip to Vermont and HIGHLY recommend it.
Good as Gold is the story of Leila and Matteo. These two were friends growing up-which is something I love in romance, but missed their opportunity to be together. I loved watching them get to know each other again as adults.
Leila is someone I would want to hang out with, truly. She's smart, determined and so sweet. I love that she is brave enough to try and raise a child on her own-and knows she'd be a great mom. I truly enjoyed getting to know her throughout this book.
Matteo broke my heart on so many levels-he's such a loyal protector. There were a couple of times I wanted to shake him BUT I mostly wanted to hug him. I fell hard for him right from the start.
As I mentioned before I liked watching these two rediscover each other. They picked up where they left off in some aspects but had to work through some of their past for sure. I liked the flashbacks presented; they can be tricky to pull off but I really think these enhanced the story. The banter and flirting worked so well with these two and the sexy times were off the charts!
Lessa Lamb and Jason Clarke perfectly brought Leila and Matteo to life to me. It's no secret that I love Jason Clarke but his performance moved me to tears. I'm so thrilled with this narration and can't wait to listen again.
Don't sleep on this book. Good as Gold is going to remain one of my top books of 2023, I can feel it. Grab your copy today; I highly recommend it!

Swoony and fun
Revisado: 04-30-23
This book hit me in all the right spots and left me smiling. I think this was a really unique way to spin a common trope and I liked the originality of it. I loved getting to know more of Jess and Pippa-and fell in love with their journey.
I wasn't expecting to swoon as hard as I did for Jess! I don't know why, I just wasn't. But holy cow am I glad I was proven wrong. Ryan West did an amazing job bringing him to life for me. He is a fabulous book boyfriend for sure!
I wanted to give Pippa a million hugs-then slap the members of her family. She is strong, smart and so sassy and fun. I think she and I would be fast friends. Samantha Brentmoor knocked this narration out of the park and made me feel like Pippa was right in the room with me.
This is a small town romance done very well. I would absolutely recommend this book-and I know it's one that will stick with me. I look forward to seeing what this Author brings us next.

Fake real dating the one who got away? Sign me up… There’s just something about bad boys. Tattoos and leather jackets, am I right? Trouble is, my last boyfriend was a teensy bit too bad and now he’s in prison. Yikes. When my friends challenge me to take a dip in the good guy side of the dating pool, I see their dating bet and I raise it, looking up the guy I crushed on growing up.

Outstanding!!
Revisado: 11-08-22
Is it a secret that I love Lauren Blakely? No, no it isn't. But it's books like this that keep me coming back for more! The Good Guy Challenge is sexy, steamy, fun with just the right balance of sweet. I was hooked from the first line and could not put this down. I also listened to this book twice in a row-it's just that amazing.
I love Gabe. I have claimed Gabe numerous times and will continue to shout it from the rooftops that he's mine. He is sexy, smart, funny-did I mention sexy? He is an ideal book boyfriend for sure. I loved getting to know him and get inside his head. I fell for him hard and fast, just like Ellie.
Ellie was so much fun. Seriously. I loved her sassy self. I felt like this was someone I would want to be friends with in real life for sure, and honestly? Throughout the book I did feel connected to her.
You will need something to cool you down with this book because Gabe and Ellie have chemistry that just goes up in flames from the very start. I LOVED how open they were with each other, how much they trusted each other. Seriously, their sexy times were SCORCHING to say the least. Their connection obviously extended past the bedroom and I enjoyed seeing them try to balance their feelings for each other with everything else going on for them.
I'm a self proclaimed Lauren Blakely nerd, and I'm totally ok with that. I love all the little Easter eggs throughout this book; they always give me such a little smile. That being said, this book IS a standalone. I felt totally immersed in this book and sighed when it was over because I wasn't ready to leave this little universe.
I have to mention the narration here. Holy wow Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke just nailed it. Their performance portrayed Gabe and Ellie perfectly-sexy, smart and fun. I'm always amazed at how narrators make each book sound different, but they do. I encourage everyone to listen to this book as well as eyeball read it-you won't regret it!
This book would get more than five stars from me if I could. It completely pulled me in and kept me engaged the entire time. I read it in one sitting because I just couldn't resist. Friends, grab a fan, a cold drink and get ready for this smoking hot book!!

Look, when I met the sexy, witty Brit on the streets of London last night, I had no idea who he was. He was just that hot guy I wanted to have a drink with, so I asked him out for my first evening in town. One thing almost led to another. After a midnight kiss, we made plans for a whole lot more the next day. But when I unlock the door to my rental in the morning, the English hottie is lounging on the couch like he lives here too. Great. For the next year, I’ll be sharing a tiny flat with the sexiest guy I’ve ever known.

swooned from the start!!
Revisado: 05-31-22
I have been DYING to get my hands on this book and let me tell you, it was more than worth the wait!! Hopelessly Bromantic made me smile, sigh...and gasp. I fell for both of these characters and was captivated by their story right from the start. I am chomping at the bit to get my hands (and ears!) on Here Comes My Man!!
Hopelessly Bromantic is the story of TJ and Jude. You may remember TJ from some of Lauren Blakely's other books BUT if this is your first foray into the Blakelyverse no worries!! Trust me when I say you'll fall in love with both men here.
I knew I was going to love TJ. I just knew. He's smart, witty, sweet and just a tad vulnerable in regards to his dreams. I loved watching him find his true self and follow his path. I was smitten with him from the start-and I certainly wasn't the only one. I absolutely adored him.
Oh, Jude. Jude is special. This author has a talent for giving voices to characters that are just so incredibly authentic and Jude is a great example of that. He is trying so hard to get his big break, to follow his dream. Seeing the direction he took and how things played out all made perfect sense to me. Now, I'm going to admit there were two moments that were Jude-centric that had me gasping and then chanting a certain word-but I'll let you get there on your own. I just want to hug him.
The moment these two meet you know they are just destined for more-it's just a matter of how they'll get there. These two had a hell of a ride-moments you'll see coming and definitely moments you won't. But their connection through it all is unapologetically raw and real. I have a thing for first kisses. They're my kryptonite in a book. This first kiss (and each kiss thereafter) was off the charts. Their sexy times were blisteringly hot. But there's more to them than that (though I'm certainly not complaining about it) and I appreciated how these two respected each other and grew throughout the book.
Now this IS book one in a duet. So there are things I can't say but I will say I had to compose myself for a hot second more than once!
I'm not kidding when I say I was captivated from the start. These characters just drew me into their story and I was not ready for it to end! I loved all the little Easter eggs that this author is so good at sprinkling throughout her books. Nothing felt rushed to me at all, it just flowed so well and left me wanting more. I know I'll be re-reading this duet for sure and falling all over again each time.
I had the pleasure of listening to an ALC of this book as well and the pairing of Teddy Hamilton and Shane East (along with several other AMAZING voices) is perfect. It's like listening to a play hearing these characters brought to life. Even having read the book I was still feeling all the feels LISTENING to it being brought to life. I am in constant awe of these narrators and can't wait to hear more of them together.
Grab this book NOW!! It is worth more than five stars-seriously. Be prepared to fall in love-and to be on the edge of your seat!! Hopelessly Bromantic is already on my re-read/re-listen list and I can't WAIT for Here Comes My Man! I absolutely highly recommend this book!!
(I have to admit...I do speak fluent exclamation point...no matter what TJ says about that LOL)

Absolute perfection!
Revisado: 02-23-22
Wow, wow, wow!! I wanted, no, I needed, this book as soon as Lauren Blakely said who it was about. A second chance, single dad, sports romance?! Yes, please!! This book had me hooked from the moment I started. It's smart, fun and oh so very sexy. I admit I grinned like a fool and sighed when the book was finished...then immediately went back and started it again.
Katie is the type of woman I want to be like. She is strong, smart, and sassy. She's not afraid to go after what she wants and works hard to get it. She's also vulnerable-but open. It's a fascinating combination and I loved getting to know her.
Harlan....I've been dying for more Harlan since I first met him. It just wasn't the right time-until now that is. Now, this book is absolutely 100% a standalone-but if you've read some of Lauren's other sports books (Most Valuable Playboy and Most Likely to Score) then you've met Harlan. Harlan is a perfect match for Katie-strong, smart, kind, sexy...the total package. Add in single dad and I was a puddle over here. I loved watching him balance everything in his life and figure out how to get what he wanted. I was cheering for him the whole time.
These two have incredible, and I mean INCREDIBLE, chemistry...but they also have awful timing. But their journey worked. Completely and totally worked and was believable. While these two have scorchingly hot sexy times, they also have plenty of time outside the bedroom getting to know each other. Their sweet and sassy times were just as much fun as the sexy ones. This is absolutely a couple I rooted for.
I love, love, love the worlds this author creates. I always feel like I'm part of the story, not just a reader. I love the supporting characters here-except for one, but nobody should like that person ;) Abby is absolutely adorable. I could settle in happily with this cast of characters for sure.
Ah, the audio of this. I was so lucky to be spoiled with an early listen of this book. I'm telling you right now, Zachary Webber is my favorite for kid voices. Hands down. I just love how he performs them. But he's fabulous as Harlan, too. Erin Mallon is one of my comfort voices (yeah, I know how that sounds) and I loved how she brought Katie to life. She absolutely nailed it in this book. I love this duo together!
I couldn't put this book down; I was completely captivated by Harlan and Katie! This is one of my favorite Lauren Blakely books and one I will absolutely go back and revisit. A Wild Card Kiss has something for everyone-heart, humor, heat and a couple you can't resist cheering for. I couldn't have wiped the grin off my face from this book if I tried-and I couldn't help but sigh at the ending. I adored this book and HIGHLY recommend it.

Revisado: 02-23-22
Oh, my heart!!! I read Must Love Hockey when it was released in serial form and couldn't WAIT to get my hands on this novella so I could have it all in one place. This novella is sweet, funny and full of heart. This is something I will come back to again when I need a smile..and a sigh.
If you've read any of Sarina Bowen's Brooklyn Bruisers books then you've met Jimbo. If you haven't, it's ok. You can absolutely follow this just fine-but I guarantee you that you'll want to read more. But I digress. I adore Jimbo. Strong, smart and sexy-and did I mention he's sweet?? He has one of the BEST lines ever in a romance, I swear. I couldn't stop smiling!
Emily is so much fun. Smart and spunky and just the kind of girl I'd love to hang out with. I loved getting to know her throughout this novella!
I loved everything about this-from the meet cute to the very end. I was completely smitten. And can we talk about the audio of this for a moment? PERFECTION. Stephen Dexter just killed it and I loved Lena Lee!! She was new to me but I thought she did a great job bringing Emily to life.
I've now read this twice and listened once...because it's just that good. I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this novella and can't recommend it enough!

Sexy and sassy friends to lovers
Revisado: 01-24-22
I love a good friends to lovers book-and this isn't a good one, it's a great one. The Baby Proposition is fun, sweet and sexy as all get out. I highly recommend diving into this fabulous world that Kim Loraine created.
This book is a standalone, but if you're like me and you love Kim Loraine then you've been introduced to Maverick and Clara before. I was positively giddy to find out how their story was going to unfold-and I was NOT disappointed.
I love Clara. I love her because she's so strong and so willing to go after what she wants. She's honest, smart, sassy and sexy. She is the kind of woman you want at your side when things are tough. I would 100% be friends with her in real life.
Maverick. Oh, holy swoon Maverick. I was NOT expecting him to stake the claim in my heart that he did. Did I know I would love him? Yes. But I LOVE him. Like to the point of saying he's one of my top 3 Kim Loraine book boyfriends (yes, I have a list. Don't judge :) ) This man is at a crossroads and watching him figure out how to handle his life, and Clara, just drew me in. I adore him.
These two together are smoking hot. Their friendship is always there but when things get kicked up...they don't get kicked up a notch, it's more like 100 notches. But it works for them and it worked for me as a reader. I believed in them.
The supporting characters here had me smiling. They don't overpower at all, just enhance. But this world that's created in this book? I could happily live there. This book just flows from start to finish and it's one I HAD to read in one sitting because I enjoyed it so much.
Can we talk narrators for a minute? The world knows I love Stella Hunter. Like LOVE. She's incredible and gives such perfect voice to Clara. She truly brought her to life for me. J.F. Harding?? Where has this man been hiding?! His voice was just perfect for Maverick. Hearing him say a certain term of endearment gave me goosebumps and only one other narrator has done that. These two were just incredible together and I hope they are paired together again!!
This book will leave you smiling-I guarantee it. I absolutely loved it from start to finish...and can't wait to read it again. I highly recommend this book!!

Absolutely Incredible!
Revisado: 01-24-22
I absolutely adore Emma Chase's writing and I have been chomping at the bit for this book. I didn't need the blurb, though once I read it I NEEDED this book even more. This book is sweet, funny, sexy, emotional and just the total package. I didn't want this to end and let me be real here, it's one I've already revisited.
Violet warmed my heart and made me smile. She is unapologetically real and 100% herself. She's funny, loyal, smart and sweet. I loved getting to know her. This is a woman I would be friends with in real life for sure.
Connor Daniels. My sweet, yet clueless, Connor. While this book is a standalone I've met Connor before in other Emma Chase books and was definitely intrigued by him. Let me tell you, he did not disappoint. He's smart and sexy-but seriously a little clueless when it comes to Violet which is cute. I loved watching him with his boys and his family-and I loved watching him fall hard for Violet.
These two had such a natural relationship development. It was very believable-and fun. They made me laugh and they had me fanning myself with their sexy times. Watching them figure each other out had me sighing and smiling.
There are so many awesome supporting characters here-but none of them steal the show, which is important. They support and enhance. As for me, I was excited to catch up with some of these other characters. I swear nobody does the banter between siblings as well as Emma Chase. I truly felt like I was part of this book.
I have also listened to this book. If you aren't an audiobook fan I beg you to try this one. Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber give perfect voice to Violet and Connor. The emotions these two put into their performances blew me away. I didn't feel like this was someone just reading a story-these two WERE Connor and Violet. I loved listening to them together and will listen again for sure.
This book has it all. Heart, heat, humor and a happy ever after. It left me with a huge smile on my face. If I could rate it more than five stars I would. I cannot recommend this book enough!!

In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

Absolute perfection!
Revisado: 01-18-22
I know it's January but hear me out. The Best Men was my most anticipated book of 2022. The thought of two of my all time favorite, one click no matter what, authors writing a book together??? Talk about a dream come true!!!!! I cannot rave about this book or recommend it enough. This story had everything-amazing banter, off the chart heat, and full to the brim with emotion. I was hooked from the first line and I KNOW you will be too.
I get Mark Banks. Completely, totally, 100% understand this man. I adored the way he tackled tasks-and let's just say a certain spreadsheet had me grinning like a fool. He's loyal, kind, determined and sexy as all get out when given the opportunity. I fell in love with him right from the start and LOVED watching him grow throughout the book.
Ah, Asher. I had the pleasure of meeting Asher before in both Sarina Bowen's work and in an earlier Lauren Blakely release. That's what set my spidey senses tingling...and hoping for a collab between these two. But anyway, back to Asher. Asher is the total opposite of Mark. He's an open book in a sense. He's a little more scattered than Mark, though he tries hard not to be. Sexy as sin, funny as hell with a sweet side to boot. That's Asher to me. I loved getting to know more of him in this book-there were so many moments he made me sigh.
When you put these two together you'd think they'd be oil and water-and you couldn't be more wrong. These two are more like a powder keg and a match! There's an undercurrent between these two that is palpable from the start. Their first kiss? INCREDIBLE and so perfect for them. (I have a thing for first kisses lol) Watching these two discover each other and understand each other outside of the bedroom was amazing and so well done. But their sexy times??? Off. The. Charts.
The writing here just took me away to another world. I was right there with Mark and Asher (no complaints there LOL) and I loved every moment of it. The supporting characters here were so relatable (well, aside from Flip's parents) to me. Like Mr. and Mrs. Banks could be my mom and dad-or any of my friend's parents. I loved the relationship between Mark/Hannah/Asher/Flip. The dynamics there hit just right. I also loved Rosie. There are lots of people who introduce child characters and then just kind of put them on the back burner. That's not the case here. I loved seeing how all of these people interacted with Mark and Asher.
Now I was VERY lucky to also have an early audio copy of this. If you're a fan of audiobooks GET this. If you're not sure you'd enjoy an audiobook?? GET THIS. Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan truly bring these characters to life. I'm going to confess that I have already relistened to this...twice. It's that good. The nuances they bring to these characters showcase why they are two of my all time favorite narrators.
Run, do not walk, run to get your copy of The Best Men!! These men stole my heart from the very first line. This story is perfection from start to finish and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This isn't just my favorite book of the month-it's one of my favorite books I have EVER read.
