These are some of the funniest and cleverest books I've ever read in long. Snarky and wisecracking. This one of my favorite series and I highly recommend MK Gibson he will make you actually laugh out loud. You're girlfriend will hear about this part or that part of the book so often she'll have to reach out to him to get a signed copy which will make you fall in love with and get married and live happily ever after..... just saying it could happen.

honestly the book was boring and super whiney, it felt more a lifetime movie about ptsd, and daddy issues then the gritty fun hellboy stories

Suffer through this one

Let me start by saying I love Larry Correia's work and I'm a huge fan of this series, however this book is by far the worst one. The story just doesn't fit in. Not in context by style. Why turn Xena the warrior scholar into a kirstin Stewart character. Seriously Julie is supposed to be a bad ass, she's the good guys version of the baroness from G.I.Joe. not that I've said that the audio actress was HORRIBLE there was no influx in her tone, she mispronounced have the names, didn't have a southern accent and was just plan boring to listen to. How the hell do you find yourself nodding off during a series about killing monsters. In my opinion and I'm not the only one this should've been a novella and maybe in Monster Hunter files not a whole book unto its self. I'm kinda bummed, but I suffered through for the continuity of the story line.

not very Lovecraftian

decent book, not much Lovecraft in it, for a book called Lovecraft country though, it felt a bit like misgivings, almost as though the author threw Lovecraft in the title to piggy off the popularity of the vast series, there was only Sparse reference. the book it was a fun ride into well written plot and great characters. all in a good read. just don't expect to much from the great old ones.
