Historia
The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women. Essun has inherited the power of Alabaster Tenring. With it, she hopes to find her daughter Nassun and forge a world in which every orogene child can grow up safe. For Nassun, her mother's mastery of the Obelisk Gate comes too late. She has seen the evil of the world, and accepted what her mother will not admit: That sometimes what is corrupt cannot be cleansed, only destroyed.

Brilliant series. Everyone should read these. I enjoyed the narration performance as well. Quite gripping and leads to a wowing finale.

Historia
Many nations define themselves in terms of territory or people; China defines itself in terms of history. Taking into account the country's unrivaled, voluminous tradition of history writing, John Keay has composed a vital and illuminating overview of the nation's complex and vivid past. Keay's authoritative history examines 5,000 years in China, from the time of the Three Dynasties through Chairman Mao and the current economic transformation of the country.

A confusing and somewhat rambling recounting of Chinese history
Revisado: 07-20-24
I didn’t mind the reader, but this book seems to be written for people who already know the history of China. I don’t feel it explains things in a way that’s easy to assimilate, and I regret listening to the whole thing.

Historia
In Wealth, Poverty, and Politics, Thomas Sowell, one of the foremost conservative public intellectuals in the country, argues that political and ideological struggles have led to dangerous confusion about income inequality in America. Pundits and politically motivated economists trumpet ambiguous statistics and sensational theories while ignoring the true determinant of income inequality: the production of wealth.

Some obvious elephants in the room
Revisado: 11-04-23
Makes some interesting observations and collects some insightful data but the author ignores many obvious “elephant in the room” issues. For a good counterpoint to this book I recommend The Price of Inequality by Joseph Stiglitz where a lot of these issues are addressed head on

Historia
The Book of Mormon For the Least of These offers an unflinching examination of some of the difficult and troubling sections of the Book of Mormon, while also advocating for a compassionate understanding of holy text. As a verse-by-verse close study, this book examines new layers of interpretation and meaning, giving even those deeply familiar with scripture innovative tools for engaging powerfully with the Book of Mormon.

Vital volume on the Book of Mormon. Every member should read this.
Revisado: 04-30-23
Some technical issues with the recording notwithstanding, this is a vital volume on the Book of Mormon. So many verses are in the church culture settled science, but this book asks the key question over and over: “What if X means Y instead of Z? Does it HAVE to mean Z?” There’s so much heart and spirit here. This is exactly what those seeking to truly gather Zion need to hear. Please listen to this book! *bang!* *bang!* *bang!*
