Finally another good one

I absolutely love this franchise and the lore that it brings. The original books up to “The Slab” were 10/10. The newer ones were not up to par and the voice just did not do it for me. This book fills a gap that fans were interested in and the story is good. The voice actor returns from the newer books and just falls short for me but the story helps bring this book along

Another great book to add to the series and unfortunately I heard this will be the last from Kyle Mills. He has done a great job with it. Only complaint I have of the character is going to be retired I want a fitting end to wrap it all up. The ending here was good but left somewhat open. I would want just one more and end it was an ending that is earned.

A lacking in story of Gears.

One and done

I am a huge Gears fan. Love all the books before this one. Not a fan of narrator switch on this. It also is consistent with the new games. I personally don’t like the direction the new story’s are going in the games and this just followed suit. Kait is just as obnoxious and annoying in this as the games. This is the first one I did not want to keep going through but since it was the first time I listened to it I just forced myself to finish it. I have listened to the others several times and will go back to them again over and over. This was a one time listen and will not be doing it again.

This is a great series to listen to. I drive a lot and listening to audio books helps pass the time. I am a huge Jack Ryan series fan but this quickly became the best series I have listened to
