Historia
Conventional interviewing advice doesn’t work. That’s what Anna Papalia learned through years of experience as an HR professional, consultant for Fortune 500 companies, and teacher at the Fox School of Business. None of the existing tools work for one simple reason: they don’t get to the heart of what actually makes a great interview—self-awareness. At its core, an interview is a set of questions about you. If you don’t know yourself, you won’t do well.

Helpful information
Revisado: 02-18-25
The informational was helpful in providing insight to recognizing your interview style. The advice given is useful. The narration was slow and monotonous so I found myself losing interest.

Historia
By age thirty, Stephanie Foo was successful on paper: She had her dream job as an award-winning radio producer at This American Life and a loving boyfriend. But behind her office door, she was having panic attacks and sobbing at her desk every morning. After years of questioning what was wrong with herself, she was diagnosed with complex PTSD—a condition that occurs when trauma happens continuously, over the course of years.

Interesting story but rushed
Revisado: 12-22-22
Interesting topic and brings light to CPTSD. There were parts that seemed rushed or crammed with stats which is different from the style of the beginning of the book.

Historia
An empath can be defined as somebody who understands another person’s emotions, thoughts, and feelings and can feel this pain, passion, and suffering in their way. Empaths are unique individuals who need to be understood and cherished. They have a gift that sets them apart from other people. They know when something is wrong with someone, and they can pick up on emotions just by looking at someone. While this may be a delight for some, it can drain them to the point of isolation and depression.

Lost me with the narration
Revisado: 10-25-21
I wasn’t able to get into it because of the narrator. The information was straight forward but I can’t say I learned a lot of new information. This is a good book for someone just learning about being an empath.
