Historia
Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: She must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful 13-year-old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family's Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims - a bit too strongly.

As with all of Gillian’s novels, she keeps me guessing and throw’s a curveball at me I wasn’t expecting. LOVE!

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 08-20-18
I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. It took a while to get into, and I thought I might get bored of it, but I was hooked after all. Details, suspense, and stories were woven so well in this book. The flow was seamless, and I loved the different narrators for different characters/chapters. Definitely a book I’ll recommend.

Historia
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Very Relatable
Revisado: 08-20-18
For anyone who’s been in an abusive relationship, this is extremely relatable. That’s what really kept me hooked throughout this book. The thoughts that poured from the subject were so familiar, and the tension it created was awesome.
However, I did feel that the author was a little heavy with adjectives and descriptions. She painted pictures so precisely that it definitely felt as if the flow of story was interrupted several times just to describe an outfit or a scene. While that can be helpful at times, I found myself frustrated that my own imagination wasn’t left to immerse completely into the book.

Historia
For Emilia Greenleaf, life is by turns a comedy of errors and an emotional minefield. Yes, she's a Harvard Law grad who married her soul mate. Yes, they live in elegant comfort on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. But with her one-and-only, Jack, came a stepson, a know-it-all preschooler named William who has become her number one responsibility every Wednesday afternoon.

Real Life

As a stepmother and woman who's lost a child, I really love this book. It's not the most interesting of stories, but it's relatable and well-written. I enjoyed the narrator and the passion in which she told the story.
