It seems like any other day. You wake up, drink a cup of coffee, and head out. But today, when you open your front door, waiting for you is a small wooden box. The contents of this mysterious box tells you the exact number of years you will live. From suburban doorsteps to desert tents, every person on every continent receives the same box. In an instant, the world is thrust into a collective frenzy. Where did these boxes come from? What do they mean? Is there truth to what they promise?

misleading tittle, unless you know this guy and want to say you read his book , there’s little to get out of this
Revisado: 12-10-19
The reader was great. The information lacking. He finally sums up the metric for measuring your life in the last two sentences of the final chapter, Which had little to do with the rest of the book. The book is primarily an overview of corporate decisions with a little sprinkle about how to prepare your kids to be more thoughtful of there steps to Career choices. The examples took over the book and didn’t make clear points. It reads a bit like a job interview.
It was a waste of time. Respect your reader please!

Historia
In The Real Crash, New York Times best-selling author Peter D. Schiff argues that America is enjoying a government-inflated bubble, one that reality will explode... with disastrous consequences for the economy and for each of us. Schiff demonstrates how the infusion of billions of dollars of stimulus money has only dug a deeper hole: The United States government simply spends too much and does not collect enough money to pay its debts, and in the end, Americans from all walks of life will face a crushing consequence.

"The tittle is misleading, there are no ideas for how to save yourself. "

"Republican Political rhetoric trying to convince you to give up your child’s right to public education. To steal the money you have paid into Social security,Medicare etc. to get rid of our social programs is not the way to creat a stronger happier society. It is a direct path to poverty for most, civil war and general anarchy through civil unrest. Is that really a life experience you want to live in? "

Historia
Composer John Cage sought the silence of a mind at peace with itself - and found it in Zen Buddhism, a spiritual path that changed both his music and his view of the universe. "Remarkably researched, exquisitely written", Where the Heart Beats weaves together "a great many threads of cultural history" (Maria Popova, Brain Pickings) to illuminate Cage’s struggle to accept himself and his relationship with choreographer Merce Cunningham. Freed to be his own man, Cage originated exciting experiments that set him at the epicenter of a new avant-garde forming in the 1950s.

Inspiring read for artists.
Revisado: 10-07-19
Once beyond chapter three, I found this biography of Artist John Cage to be a refreshing look at how spirituality inspired his work is. I learned he is the father of performance Art, and developed a greater appreciation for performance based art works. Since I am moving into digital video with my own artwork, this read inspired me on multiple levels. WWW.LeslieEbert.com

Many bemoan the decay of culture. But we all have a responsibility to care for culture, to nurture it in ways that help people thrive. In Culture Care artist Makoto Fujimura issues a call to cultural stewardship, in which we become generative and feed our culture's soul with beauty, creativity, and generosity. We serve others as cultural custodians of the future. This is a book for artists, but artists come in many forms.

Missleedng tittle and beginning
Revisado: 08-12-19
This is a book of bible versus, how god is the artist, and how churches are failing communities. It’s not a book about artists and culture as the description imply. once you get past the first chapter it’s bible thumping. Disappointing
