Historia
Germany is a relatively young nation-state. United in 1871, it's even younger than the United States. However, the territories inhabited by the Germanic people have a rich history that reaches far back in prehistory and antiquity. Located in the heart of Europe, Germany witnessed centuries of conflicts, immigration, and negotiations. Consequently, its shape, size, and ethnicity changed throughout history. The territories which constitute Germany today were often war zones, and at times they would join forces against a common enemy or break apart due to internal conflicts.

Very Interesting and Informative Book
Revisado: 01-30-23
Before reading this book, I was only vaguely aware of the life and influence of Francis Drake on the formation of the British empire. Also, I had no recollection from my history classes of the incredible feat of Francis Drake circumnavigating the Earth, including his fascinating experiences with the indigenous people of North, Central and South America, during his voyage. This book provided a much better understanding and appreciation for the events that led to the emergence of Great Britain as a world power. The narration was very engaging and interesting. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of Great Britain.
