The writing voice was clever full of humor, and witty on your face dialogue. You can’t help but love the protagonists and that beautiful dad! Will listen to it again.

This novel has a lot of potential but I found that the theme and characters needed further development. Trent is portrayed as a tough guy with anger issues but in reality he is weak and overly delicate. His friends are simpleminded. They’re all illogical. Even if everything was true, their bullying is extreme and narcissistic. The author needed to have written a more solid reason for their actions not just,”Oh my god, she told and introduced them!” Seriously, that’s weak and I need of character development. It was written at a high school level and needs to go back to the chopping block and be enriched. The story has potential but needs a lot fine tuning overall.

Talk about ridiculous. Really, work under him? With their history? What kind of gluttons for punishment does this author want to push? And the dad? Loser. Hated this book.

What kind of world does this author live in? The protagonist was an airhead who let men control her life because she a weakling. Thus is ridiculous, it was written in the wrong century. My gosh, I can’t believe how many people gave this five stars.

Tried and tried but it still sucked

I really tried to understand the character and what she was going through, but ultimately she was not a good heroine. The amount of abuse and normalization of it was disgusting. Is she's supposed to be so smart, why was she so dumb time and time again. This novel tries to normalize abuse, these vampires love like humans but kill like beasts. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. If there was an option for less than 1, I'd give that score instead.
In addition, the narrator was terrible. All the male voices sounded like whiners, she couldn't portray the characters properly. I did try but in the end, this story was annoying, irrationally written, and bad to hear.

Katy Evans is an amazing writer. I've liked all her books and this one doesn't disappoint. What a great cliffhanger. It totally left me waiting for more.
