Love this series
Revisado: 06-29-24
Kresley Cole does not disappoint. Always comes through with great stories, characters, and banter in the dialogue. Only complaint is that it was too short. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Historia
Alasdair MacKenzie has never once considered himself unlucky in all the centuries he’s been an immortal rogue enforcer. Not until he meets Sophie. Finding the beautiful, smart, and funny woman who is his life mate is great luck, actually. But meeting her at a wedding full of Argeneaus, not to mention his own busybody uncles determined to “help him claim his woman,” is bad luck. And the fact that Sophie is someone else’s date? Well that’s just the next level of unlucky.

Great listen
Revisado: 03-04-24
This book/series is not meant to be funny, but there were sections in the dialogue that had me LOLing. Good story. The narrator did a great job with differentiating character voices, accents, and inflections. Sounded like natural speech, not like she was reading a book. Only negative is Alasdair’s sultry voice was spoken a little too softly to hear even with the volume up, and also the Sottish accent was sometimes too thick and quick to be understood. Great series overall though! Highly recommend!

Historia
What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our time, and my friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike. Couple of problems in the way - I hate the Fae, and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing, egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate, and control me. Oh - did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae....

Good story
Revisado: 10-04-23
It’s a slow build but the story is good. What wasn’t slow was Syn’s super quick 180 from hating the Fae, to gimme gimme gimme Ryder. Narrators are great. What annoyed me most is in the writing with the constant use of the characters names being said during conversations. No need to mention the name of the person being spoken to in every. single. sentence.

Good, not great
Revisado: 05-27-23
I found this book to be better than the first in the series. The connection with the BDB made more sense and always appreciate Detective DeLaCruz’s appearance. Such a nice guy. Jim’s narration is soot on, as always.

A bit disjointed
Revisado: 05-18-23
Not typical writing for this author. There was a lot going on and it seemed a bit disjointed, and especially bringing in the BDB piece to this new storyline. The reveals should have occurred throughout the book, not everything in the last 20 minutes of the book. This is a re-read/re-listen for me. I did enjoy it and will listen to the rest, but not one of my too picks for JR’s books. Jim Frangione is awesome, as usual.

I’m a huge fam of KC and I absolutely love this series. This story had a lot of potential but didn’t meet the mark in many aspects. Story was a bit jumbled with the time travel. Narration was awesome.

Great ending to an imaginative series!
Revisado: 04-25-23
This series ending was worth the wait. Great character dynamics throughout the series that culminated perfectly in this finale. Sorely disappointed with the narration. Where were the accents?! We know Emma is very talented and did an excellent job narrating the rest of the series. It was hard to track which character she was portraying which was very distracting and took enjoyment out of the book. I should have read it instead. This felt like a Game of Thrones rushed ending to me leaving an incomplete feeling. Otherwise, fantastic series and ending.

Defeat the enemy. Win the boy. Live happily ever after. But life "ever after" isn't as easy as it used to be. Harper's gone from being a member of a small demon lair to co-Prime of one of the most powerful lairs in the US, with a mate who, though hot as hell, is just a mite overprotective. Then one of Knox's demons goes rogue and in his madness decides Knox Thorne must die. Harper's worried. Knox isn't - at least until he discovers his mate's willingness to get between him and danger.

Good story bad narration
Revisado: 02-11-23
The storyline is good and good writing. Only annoying thing for me is that in all the heated scenes, Harper “screams” her release. Every. Single. Time. Which seems like every other page. Even the most tender scene on the yacht when you think they’d “make love”, it was written like another hard core scene. I really like Suzanne Wright’s book, but this series tries too hard with the heated scenes.
The narration. Ugh. She does better with the male voices than the females which all sound like whiney teens.
