Historia
Investigative journalist Matthew Cole tells the story of the most lauded unit, SEAL Team 6, revealing a troubling pattern of war crimes and the deep moral rot beneath authorized narratives. From their origins in World War II, the SEALs have trained to be specialized killers with short missions. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan became the endless War on Terror, their violence spiraled out of control. Code Over Country details the high-level decisions that unleashed the SEALs’ carnage and the coverups that prevented their crimes from coming to light.

Good but, Misleading.
Revisado: 01-24-25
It's an interesting book but it leaves our s lot of evidence in the stories told to paint a particular picture. I'm not huge fan of the SEAL community. But the book does an injustice by painting stories in a very particular light, I shadowing A BUNCH of other evidence and nuance to the story. It's a good listen. But I'd advise to not take all the stories at the word here. some are pretty accurate, some are very misleading.

Historia
Stirringly evocative, thought provoking, and often jaw dropping, The Operator ranges across SEAL Team Operator Robert O'Neill's awe-inspiring 400-mission career that included his involvement in attempts to rescue "Lone Survivor" Marcus Luttrell and abducted-by-Somali-pirates Captain Richard Phillips and culminated in those famous three shots that dispatched the world's most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden.

Amazing book
Revisado: 07-10-19
I was getting on a bird to Afghanistan when Bin Laden was killed. I had the privilege of working with some SEALS overseas. Rob O'Neil's story is absolutely amazing, and what a humble guy. Hearing the stories put in book form was great. And the fact Rob himself did the narration is even better. If I could give this 10 stars I would. Rob, thanks for telling the stories, the honor given to your guys, the humbleness shown towards even typical grunts walking the mountains and not on a Tier 1 team, just a class act all around.

Historia
A routine investigation into corruption at a North Californian airport sets in motion shocking events that lead hard man Jim Bishop and world-weary ex-cop boss Scott Weiss into the center of a massive criminal conspiracy. The trail of blood that ensues brings them dangerously closer to Weiss's old nemesis, an expert gun-for-hire known only as Shadowman and to a plan set to climax with an act of audacious violence and a murder that would be impossible for any killer but one....

Excellent
Revisado: 11-19-18
The story is great, the performance is better. I see people giving this book poor reviews because of fowl language and talk of sex. If those things bother you, the book is not for for you. But those things are reality, and how do you pull someone into.a story that doesn't resemble the world we live in? Klavan has a really good way of telling stories the way reality and the narrative requires them to be. Great book.

Historia
Three years ago, working vice for the NYPD, Dan Champion uncovered a sex slavery ring run by a kingpin known only as the Fat Woman. Obsessed with bringing her down, Champion infiltrated a world of sexual obsession and perversity. He broke the case, but the case also broke him. He started taking drugs and soon began to form hallucinations...a dead child prowling the streets of New York...a beautiful woman named Samantha who would have given him the love he always wanted - if she'd only been real.

Great Story.
Revisado: 07-16-18
This is a solid story. Klavan does a great job bringing characters to life, and is w en better at creating clever dialogue for each character, it brings the whole thing together. Highly recommend
