Historia
Triumphantly returning from the North Pole on May 24, 1928, the world-famous exploring airship Italia — code-named N-4 — was struck by a terrible storm and crashed somewhere over the Arctic ice, triggering the largest polar rescue mission in history. Helping lead the search was Roald Amundsen, the poles’ greatest explorer, who himself soon went missing in the frozen wastes. Amundsen’s body has never been found, the last victim of one of the Arctic’s most enduring mysteries....

I haven’t rated, but few, of my inventory of 4,000 books. This is great in historical terms, and plays like a great novel.

Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

This book is NOT about Achilles!!
Revisado: 07-03-21
This book does NOTHING but promote Achilles as being gay. Since he was not a REAL person, the author is within her rights to portray him as such. And it gets real old, real quick. I had to quit with 2.5 hours left. Don’t waste a credit on this

Historia
In the wake of the French Revolution, Napoleon Bonaparte, First Consul of France, and Pope Pius VII shared a common goal: to reconcile the church with the state. But while they were able to work together initially, formalizing an agreement in 1801, relations between them rapidly deteriorated. In 1809, Napoleon ordered the Pope's arrest. Ambrogio Caiani provides a pioneering account of the tempestuous relationship between the emperor and his most unyielding opponent.

I have a library of 4,374 books. I’ve listened to hundreds of truly great books, but for whatever reasons, I’ve never provided a review.
This is a Great Book. I recommend it as one of my best. I envy you, in that you still have this to purchase, and lean and enjoy.
Don’t pass this one up
