Remembering

I was working in Rockville MD when this happened. We were frightened to go back and forth to our cars. The “white van” became a metaphor for concentrating on the wrong clue when trying to solve a problem. This book gathers information from many sources. Hearing how the victims and the police viewed things was interesting. It doesn’t answer the question “why” but it does lend some perspective to the hows.

Couldn’t Funish

I listen to at least 3 books a week. I couldn’t finish this one. The story was worth maybe an hour of listening. I like narrators with less high pitched voices. The story also lacked a compelling “hook.” Maybe it was all revealed in the end but I’ll never know.

Wild ride!

This story about living out a phantasy had me almost believing it was real at times. It kept me on edge. Why did she stay? Should she continue to trust or use her safe word?

Like the hero or hate him. I did both.

One of the most thought provoking books....

If you could sum up Separation Games in three words, what would they be?

I couldn't wait for this book to come out in audible because the first one capitivated me. If you ever had a relationship that was perfect but something was missing, then listen to these two books. I cringed at some of the "scenes," but I'm obviously attracted to the "life." If you can step outside of yourself and let C D Reiss take you inside of these characters (and save the judgments) then you might learn something about yourself. I personally couldn't stop listening to both this and the first one. Reiss knows how to keep up your interest. The narration was great.

If you are into angst

If you are into angst this is the book for you otherwise I'd skip it. I rated the other Bleeding Stars with 5 stars. Really, one can only take so much whining. I sped up the performance just to get through. I'm a fan of A L Jackson but not of this one.

Used to like the Ferro Family

I was crazy about this series. Couldn't wait for the next addition. But like all good things I'm over the Ferro family and these short little stories that sink the characters (and the poor reader) in to unbearable improbable drama that doesn't seem to end well. WRAP THIS STORY UP I'm over the whole thing and don't intend to waste time, tokens, or money on this style story anymore.
