Historia
Daniel was instructed to conceal the words and seal up his book until the end times (Dan 12:4). In the spiritual realm, I imagine he placed the Book of Daniel in a sealed jar, and it has laid dusty in a corner of heaven for 2500 years. But what if God has just broken open the jar? Should we re-examine all of our favorite prophecies anew now that Daniel is unsealed? I think the answer is a resounding, YES! Using sound biblical exegesis, we uncover the shocking identity of the Beast Kingdom, the countries that make up the Ten Horns of the Beast, why Time, Times, and half a Time is divided ...

The AI reading is awful
Revisado: 06-18-24
Just go buy the book. I had a hard time listening to it with this AI reading. When citations to Bible versus are given, a human will read the entire book name. For instance, Gen 1:1 is read Genesis 1:1. AI doesn’t know to do this. It took me quite a while to figure out what “eeesa” meant. (Isaiah). This was so distracting I couldn’t put enough thought into the book. Some day I’ll get the book and just read it.

Historia
A toxic presidential election is underway in an America already badly weakened by internal divisions. While politicians focus entirely on maintaining their own power, ISIS kidnaps a brilliant French microbiologist and forces him to begin manufacturing anthrax. Slickly produced videos chronicling his progress and threatening an imminent attack are posted to the internet, intensifying the hysteria gripping the United States.

Good story. Didn’t like the narrator
Revisado: 12-04-19
The narration took away from my enjoyment of this book. He talked choppy, like a non-native speaker. It was not always clear. Fortunately, I enjoyed the story so much I was able to get passed it, mostly. I love the character of Mitch Rapp.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old American Hailey Portman goes missing in Switzerland, her desperate parents seek the help of their neighbor, Finn Harrington, a seemingly quiet historian rumored to be a former spy. Sensing the story runs deeper than anyone yet knows, Finn reluctantly agrees to make some enquiries. He has little to go on other than his instincts, and his instincts have been wrong in the past - sometimes spectacularly wrong.

Historia
Drawing on their own cross cultural experience in global mission, O'Brien and Richards show how better self-awareness and understanding of cultural differences in language, time, and social mores allow us to see the Bible in fresh and unexpected ways. Getting beyond our own cultural assumptions is increasingly important for being Christians in our interconnected and globalized world. Learn to read Scripture as a member of the global body of Christ.

Very interesting

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I never realized how my culture and world view influenced how I read the Bible. Parts of this book are sure to convict you! The study questions were thought provoking.
