Historia
Cole Danner survived. His wife and daughter didn’t. The authorities assured him. Alone, severely injured and suicidal, he has no memory of how he escaped the crash into a mountain lake that claimed his girls. Until a series of otherworldly and brutal flashbacks brings him back from the brink, convinces him the crash was no accident, and leads him on a bewildering journey in search of his presumed-dead daughter. Sophie Danner survived. Her father and mother didn’t. Her new family assured her.

Mr. Dove, I am in love with your narration. I have listened to several of the books you have narrated more than one because your voice is so enjoyable to listen to. I am looking forward to the next book in your series and also to any other books with your narration.

Historia
Grace first met Mimi when she blew into their sons’ toddler playgroup like a warm bay breeze that loosened Grace’s tight spaces. Despite differing approaches to life and parenting, the fast friends raised their kids together while cementing a sisterlike bond that neither believed could be broken. But when a string of ill-fated decisions results in a teen party with a tragic outcome for Grace’s son, the friendship is ripped apart and an already-splintered community explodes.

Grace is unbearable.
Revisado: 07-12-21
I'm trying to stick it out and finish the book but the character of Grace is making it about unreadable. I normally enjoy Amy McFadden as a narrator. Grace's hard-headedness and narrow mind is very frustrating to me. I have never been angered listening to a book. actually, I listen to books to escape reality. But Grace is the biggest hard head I have encountered while listening to a book. I'm going to try and continue on.
