Historia
For as long as they can remember, Cyrus Grace Dunham felt like a visitor in their own body. Their life was a series of imitations—lovable little girl, daughter, sister, young gay woman—until their profound sense of alienation became intolerable. Moving between Grace and Cyrus, Dunham brings us inside the chrysalis of gender transition, asking us to bear witness to an uncertain and exhilarating process that troubles our most basic assumptions about who we are and how we are constituted.

Good but too slow for me
Revisado: 04-13-22
I did like the 80% of the book but for me it was too slow (I had to listened in x1.3 speed). Also there was a lot of relationship information and too many people involve (to many names and not so much important info about them)…I got a little bit confused. But I do recommended it.

Historia
The effects of traditionally defined masculinity have become one of the most prevalent social issues of our time. In this engaging and provocative new book, beloved actor, director, and social activist Justin Baldoni reflects on his own struggles with masculinity. With insight and honesty, he explores a range of difficult, sometimes uncomfortable topics including strength and vulnerability, relationships and marriage, body image, sex and sexuality, racial justice, gender equality, and fatherhood.

Written and read it with his heart
Revisado: 03-15-22
I loved the perspective, he never stopped learning through the book, he was vulnerable, scared but fearless at the same time.
It helped me a lot with my own issues and fears.
It is a little bit long for me (at the end) that is why the 4/5 start in story.

Historia
When Jackson Bird was 25, he came out as transgender to his friends, family, and anyone in the world with an internet connection. Assigned female at birth and having been raised a girl, he often wondered if he should have been born a boy. Jackson didn’t share this thought with anyone because he didn’t think he could share it with anyone. Growing up in Texas in the 1990s, he had no transgender role models. He barely remembers meeting anyone who was openly gay, let alone being taught that transgender people existed outside of punchlines.

Helped me a lot
Revisado: 08-18-21
This book helped me understand that i am not alone. It is also good to have some trans related books. Perhaps there are "better educational" books about this topic but this is really good. This is a personal story and it is brave to share it without taboos. Thank you for that.

Historia
No job, no money, no love - and to make things worse, 27-year-old Charlie has no choice but to leave New York City and move in with his mom in his isolated and conservative hometown of Sunset Springs. Home isn’t a comfortable place for Charlie. One of very few Black residents and the only trans person around town that he knows of, this will be Charlie’s first time back in Sunset Springs since he transitioned. He expects confusion and maybe even hostility. He definitely does not expect Jackson Ford.

Liked it but the voice was a struggle for me
Revisado: 08-16-21
Liked the story but I don't feel comfortable with the feminine voice. It makes me a little bit dysphoric. Perhaps if he was pre-T I'll understand but he is not. (This is my opinion) Love this author btw.

Historia
Danny Tozer has a problem: She just inherited the powers of Dreadnought, the world's greatest superhero. Until Dreadnought fell out of the sky and died right in front of her, Danny was trying to keep people from finding out she's transgender. But before he expired, Dreadnought passed his mantle to her, and those secondhand superpowers transformed Danny's body into what she's always thought it should be. Now there's no hiding that she's a girl.

I have tried to read it several times
Revisado: 08-06-21
I wanted to like this story because the main character is transgender and love the hero idea. I have downloaded this book 3 times now but I’ve never passed the first 5 chapters. Like the idea of the story but not the execution. Been transgender is not easy and I know there is a lot of hate in our minds but it is not necesary to talk about that all the time (in the story). Perhaps I will try a 4th time someday.

Nyx and Zero will face kidnappers, pirates, shipwrecks, warlords, dragons, and maybe a new ally or two on their way to save the day once again.

Really good
Revisado: 08-03-21
I liked the way they narrated the story plus the sounds were on point. The story is not THAT amazing but it has excitement and playfulness. Sometimes our days are really tiring and watching tv will make it worst…well, this audiobook helped me relax and to imagine the escenarios.
