Historia
In 2016, Rob Delaney’s one-year-old son, Henry, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The family had moved from Los Angeles to London with their two young boys when Rob’s wife was pregnant with Henry, their third. The move was an adventure that would bind them even more tightly together as they navigated the novelty of London, the culture clashes, and the funhouse experience of Rob’s fame—thanks to his role as co-creator and co-star of the hit series Catastrophe. Henry’s illness was a cataclysm that changed everything about their lives.

Beautiful and funny and then more beautiful
Revisado: 12-06-22
It’s hard to read about a man who has lost a child. It’s the concept most parents can only think about for a few seconds because it’s so awful and one’s mind quickly moves to another topic. Rob Delaney lived it and writes about it in a way that you live it. It’s heart wrenching and funny and heartbreaking and necessary. What a gift the author has given us…

Historia
When Andrei Kaplan’s older brother, Dima, insists that Andrei return to Moscow to care for their ailing grandmother, Andrei must take stock of his life in New York. His girlfriend has stopped returning his text messages. His dissertation adviser is dubious about his job prospects. It’s the summer of 2008, and his bank account is running dangerously low. Perhaps a few months in Moscow are just what he needs. So Andrei sublets his room in Brooklyn and moves into the apartment that Stalin himself had given his grandmother, a woman who has outlived her husband and most of her friends.

A Modern Tale of Russia
Revisado: 06-23-21
A moving story about family set against the backdrop of modern day Russia. I enjoyed every single plot line of this novel—the myriad of characters depicted perfectly by the narrator, Ari Fliakos. Mr. Fliakos is an extremely talented narrator and edifies this story tremendously. Highly recommend this novel.

Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

Slump-Buster
Revisado: 05-16-21
I’ve been in a reading slump. This book is perfectly hilarious and an utter antidote to my reading ennui. The radio-play format works well and Rogen is very effective as the narrator. Laughed out loud more times than I can count.
