Wow. The imagery was intense, and drew me in immediately. The author created an atmosphere thick with dread. it left me feeling heavy, and in need of a shower... i am forever grateful for functional indoor plumbing.
The narration was kinda irking me...like Jennifer Coolidge and Kirsten Stewart had a baby, and tried to traumatize that baby by having them read this book. Not great.
I'll buy the physical book and reread to enjoy again.

I'm so glad this is finally an audiobook!

I've been wanting to listen to this for a long time. The narrator is great, and I've been intrigued by the author for ages.
The story started off kind of slow, as Nick is a miserable Patrick Bateman- eqsue prick. I found myself at times sympathizing with his plight...that is unil he starts again with the same insufferable prose ... clever move by the author. I could intellectualize this book til the cows come home. However, even on the surface, this was a fun read. The latter part of the book is filled with torture, gore and an ending that left me scratching my head. BUT it was a great ride.

I'm constantly searching for story that is new, clever and creepy without it being too pretentious...
This story was great! it had me questioning the characters reality and my own. The prologue alone had me turning on the lights 😅 This story drifts away from the creeps and ghouls and delves into the unknown, beyond they physical plane. amazing. I love it. will read again!

I am again, disappointed as the sisters have abandoned their promise to provide closure to their epic series with this book. It could have been done, and done well if it was indeed their aim. Instead, however they stuffed this book with filler...in an apparent money grab for yet another book in the series...tbr in anooother year. cmon ladies... the narrators are great, as always <3
