A Good Read
Revisado: 10-24-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes. It was different and I enjoyed the storyline and the narrator
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I think the concept of an alligator in a major city was interesting and believable. Nothing negative
What about Suzy Lexington’s performance did you like?
I think her use of the local dialect was good and added a different aspect to the story
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I think the author could have stretched the stor line out for another hour

Historia
There are millions of stories in the city - some magical, some tragic, others terror-filled or triumphant. Jonah Kirk’s story is all of those things as he draws listeners into his life in the city as a young boy, introducing his indomitable grandfather, also a "piano man"; his single mother, a struggling singer; and the heroes, villains, and everyday saints and sinners who make up the fabric of the metropolis in which they live - and who will change the course of Jonah’s life forever. Welcome to The City, a place of evergreen dreams where enchantment and malice entwine.

Not Koontz Style
Revisado: 10-24-14
What would have made The City better?
If it had not been written. It was not the Dean Koontz I know and was an insult to his writing skills. I did not even finish the book. Probably listened to an hour but couldn't stand it any ;onger
What do you think your next listen will be?
All Saints Secrets
What didn’t you like about Korey Jackson’s performance?
It was boring but then again the story line was boring
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The City?
The Book
Any additional comments?
I was really disappointed in this novel. It was not up to the standard Koontz has exhibited over the years.

Good Story Ruined
Revisado: 08-26-14
What would have made The Lost Garden better?
A Different narratror
Would you recommend The Lost Garden to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes but in Kindle format. The narrator ruined this story
How could the performance have been better?
The narrator needed to put more feeling into her voice. Very bland and monotone
What character would you cut from The Lost Garden?
The narrator
Any additional comments?
I will not be reading book 2 if it is narrated by the same person

B Grade Story
Revisado: 05-27-14
Would you try another book from Trish McCallan and/or Luke Daniels?
No
What was most disappointing about Trish McCallan’s story?
What I thought was going to be an action adventure story turned out to be a B grade sex novel
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The voices of the main characters were woeful
What character would you cut from Forged in Ash?
The author
Any additional comments?
The author should decide if she want's to write action adventure or a sex novel. Sure love and romance have their place in action stories but this is over the top with the author fixated on large male appendages

Excellent Series of Books
Revisado: 12-18-10
I down loaded book 1 in the series as my wife was nagging me for a new book to listen to. It wasn't long before I downloaded all ten books. They were easy listening and it was great that David Pittu was able to narate all the books in the series. The series may have been written for teenagers but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them
