The story of Oriana and Gabriel was cute, but it dragged on for me. There was so much angst and discussion of what is right and what is wrong on the outside. I understand they needed to learn what goes on “outside”, but I felt like I didn’t want to finish the story. What kept me going was Emma Wilder. I truly love her narration. I wish she was on the only narrator though. I love the way she portrays the men in the stories.
I love Rosalind’s books, but this series is starting to drag on for me.

I feel I start all of my Rosalind James reviews with the fact that the story has all of the emotions anyone could every go through. In this case, Dyma is a very mature 19 year old, who graduated high school and headed off to college. All while leaving behind her rock - her mom and, her boyfriend, Owen, who happens to be an NFL star! Dyma is fiesty and brutally honest, which sometimes tends to get her into trouble. However, she does not back down when faced with hard situations. This story deals with love, bullying, friendship and above all, finding the balance to make it all work. Owen is such a kind and patient man. They compliment each other wonderfully. This was such a great story, and I love how we got to still see Jennifer and Harlan. Emma Wilder did another outstanding job narrating this story!

Jennifer and Dyma are mother and daughter. Even though Jennifer had Dyma when she was very young, she had become a wonderful mother, who has a very headstrong daughter. Then comes Harlan and Owen. A chance encounter on the ski slopes leads to friendship and romance. It is an instant attraction between Jennifer and Harlan. The fact that Jennifer does not recognize Harlan from the NFL, makes Harlan even more attracted to her because she is interested in him for the man he is and not the famous one. As with all of Rosalind's books, there are ups and downs and then it all comes around. This book was sweet, sexy and romantic. As always, another Rosalind James book that I love - not only for the well written characters, but for the well written story and in depth descriptions of the locale and the characters.
And, we can't forget the incredible narrator, Emma Wilder. She makes every Rosalind James book that much better in the audio version. Her range of character voices is amazing!
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

What a great addition to this series. We met Daisy in the previous book and I was a little hesitant with what she was going to be like in her own book. She did not disappoint. The story starts out as a thriller with the suspense of her being in an accident, getting out of her car on her own and Gray, being there to "rescue" her. The chemistry between Daisy and Gray is instantaneous. How many men do you know that would help her as much as he did within the span of a few hours? The book has serious issues to deal with too. Daisy gets her 2 sisters out of the cult that they were in and Gray is dealing with his migraines from injuries from rugby. They work together well, and the help they get from Gray's mom, Honor, is just amazing. What a wonderful character she is. This book truly opens your eyes to life outside of the "norm". There is a lot of excitement with this book, but also, a lot of deep soul searching with Daisy and her sisters. What a different world life is on the "Outside". As always, great addition to this series.
I got a bit more used to having 2 narrators for this book. I still prefer Emma Wilder doing both the female & male roles, but I think Tom Janson did a better job with this book.

From the opening chapters of this book, you know it's going to be an exciting journey of the story of Poppy and Matiu. There is a lot of raw emotion in this book. The obstacles that Poppy and Matiu have to go through to be together are both tough and exciting. Tough in the sense that Matiu is dealing with his deep feelings for a woman, something he really has never experienced before and for Poppy, it's about doing what is right for her family. The excitement of these characters is watching how they get to where they need to be, which is, with each other.
I love when Rosalind has children in her stories. Hamish and Olivia are little spit fires! I love that we get to hear from previous characters, Karen, Jax, Koro, etc. Karen is such an exciting and blunt character. She brings such brutal honesty to the stories. And, Koro, the life lessons and words of wisdom he gives, is undeniably valuable.
I love the story. I love the journey of Poppy and Matiu. It is, once again, another heartwarming Rosalind James book.
It was a bit different this time with having a female and male narrator. I enjoyed it, but I must say, I've grown accustomed to Emma Wilder and her male character voices, and I enjoy those. So it took a bit to get used to Tom Janson as Matiu. It was a nice twist to the book, but I like when Emma narrates the whole book. It could be because she's done so many of them for Rosalind and she has all the different voices stored for use and Tom Janson is new to this author. Overall, it is a must listen to!

Rosalind James does what she does best, tells the stories of her beloved characters with all of the heart and soul she has to give. This story brings back some of our favorite characters from previous books, Rhys, Zora, Marko, Nyree and so on. I also liked that we met some new characters, like Kane and Victoria. Everyone gathered together to celebrate Marko and Nyree's wedding. This gave us the opportunity to see what has happened with their lives since we last heard about them. There are secrets to be told, romances to reignite and fun to be had. Rosalind James tells these stories and describes her characters with the utmost precision. She makes you want to know these people in real life. I have listened to several of her books, and thoroughly enjoyed this one simply because we got to reconnect with former characters, as well as connect with new ones. I read/listen to Rosalind's books to "escape" from my everyday world at times. She takes her readers on such journey's with each new book. I truly enjoyed this story of family, friendship and, most importantly, love.
Emma Wilder does another fantastic job at bringing each character to life. The way that she can switch her voice from character to character is just amazing. And, I love the way she does the children's voices - so sweet and innocent.

I was so happy to hear that Karen was getting a story. I loved her in the Billionaire series and it's interesting to see her as an adult. At times I was still thinking she was 16! Karen's world is turned upside down when her boyfriend/business partner decides to cut ties with her in their business. Left with nothing else to do, she goes to NZ to recuperate. Karen is a strong character in that she survived family hardships with Hope raising her and medical issues when we first met her in the Billionaire series. I guess that is why I had a bit of a problem with the dominance aspect of this book. When we meet Jax, he's everything that one would want in a man. He's strong, straightforward, honest, handsome (in a battered way following being injured in the military). The chemistry between Karen and Jax is instantaneous. I love all of Rosalind's books and the stories they tell. And, I love her sexy parts of the stories as well. However, this book seemed to touch a bit too much on Jax wanting to dominate Karen in the bedroom. I don't mean to sound like a prude, but it was a bit much. As I said, she is a strong woman and it was a bit odd that she would allow that all of the time. I know everyone has their own preferences and he did not force her by any means, but it was a bit much for me. That is the reason I only gave it 4 stars. I couldn't go below that because I truly did enjoy the story. The obstacles they both had to overcome. Jax coming to terms with only having 1 leg and moving on with life that way. Karen coming to terms with the breakup with Josh and the loss of her company that she worked so hard for. Karen and Jax are a perfect match for one another and a great balance. Jax was so caring for Karen when she got sick on their first adventure. And, as she referred to him, he has 2 sides - the caring/sweet side and the dominant side (again, only in the bedroom). I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes. And, by the way, I loved all of the scenes with Koro. He's a character that you would love to sit down with in real life and talk about "life".
I love Emma Wilder and she does a great job, once again! I love how she goes from female to male to elderly characters voices like it is nothing. This is the first time I've heard John Hartley. He did a good job as well, but I think I like Emma's voice for Koro and Hemi better. Probably because that was what I was used to from the previous books. As for Jax, it was a nice mix up for a male character. I enjoyed the dual narrations.

Rhys Fletcher returns home to coach rugby. He bumps into his sister-in-law, Zora and her son, Isaiah in the store and he realizes that his deceased brother, did not leave them prepared to live on their own. Rhys doesn't know how he is going to continue to be in Zora's life without her realizing how he has felt for her the last 10 years. Fast forward a few days and Rhys gets a phone call that will turn his life upside down......his brother had a secret daughter back in Chicago and Rhys was listed as the father. Many men would not step up to the plate on this situation, but Rhys didn't think twice about it. Casey's mom passed away and she had no other family. Rhys is her family now, and he will do right by her. It was such touching scenes between them from the time he picked her up to the time they landed in New Zealand.
He called upon Zora to help with Casey while he would travel for games. This situation made them be around each other more often than not. Cooking together, doing things with the kids together, etc. It almost felt like a relationship to them both. The sexual tension between them was palpable.
This book offered many ups, downs and in-betweens. I loved how we saw Finn in this book quite a bit, as he is my all time favorite character in Rosalind's books. There is a very similar correlation between Rhys and Finn - they are both family men and they will do anything for their children and the people they love.
This was a great book. A great escape for me, as all of the New Zealand books are. Highly recommend this book.
Once again, Emma Wilder narrated this book spectacularly. It truly amazes me how she does a different voice for each character. I love how she does the kids voices as well. Great job!

I was very interested to see where the story of Brett Hunter was going to take us. Having met him in the previous two Sinful books, I wasn't sure if I was going to like him. As a businessman, you could tell that he could be ruthless if need be. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the tender, caring, humorous side of him in this third book in the series.
Willow was everything the name seems to reflect - carefree, loyal and loving. They meet by chance at the beach when Willow is surfing and Brett is simply just "standing there in his suit" looking out at the ocean. An unlikely pair, they form a quick bond after a near miss with a shark. The bond grows even more after a walk to show Willow where he is going to develop condos goes all wrong.
The more time Willow and Brett spend together, the more they learn about each other and one can see that there are many similarities. The loss of a parent(s). This story is simply wonderful. I think Brett is my favorite over Jace and Rafe. It could be that it's because he has to portray a shrewd businessman persona for work and then can show a strong and caring side outside of the office. The chemistry between Willow and Brett is instantaneous.....strong, sweet and sexy!
I've read and listened to all of Rosalind's books, and as always, she continues to make the next one better than the last one!
Emma Wilder made me love Brett even more. She just amazes me how she does all the different accents and how she goes from male to female like it's nothing. Another great job by Emma.

I was very interested to see where Rafe and Lily's story would go, and, as always, Rosalind took us on a great journey of faith, hope and love. The story is not only about the relationship between Rafe and Lily, but also of Bailey (and Chuck). I believe that Bailey is an integral part of this story. Lily is hesitant about finding love again after being betrayed by her ex-husband. I feel that when she met Bailey, it helped her realize that there is the potential to find love again.
Now, Rafe and Lily didn't exactly start out on the right foot. Well, they did, but by pretending to be two totally different people. Once they met through Paige and Jace, they realized that they both had an attraction, but, aside from realizing that they were soon going to be in-laws and the fact that Rafe is a movie star and Lily wants nothing to do with that life again, they tried to stay away from one another. However, Rafe was going to be staying at Jace's house in Montana to learn how to be a "cowboy" for his next film. It was inevitable that he and Lily would bump into each other. But, what they didn't expect was that the more time they spent together, the more in tune they were and realized that they could possibly pursue a relationship. Rafe was also very welcoming to Bailey, which was another strong feature for him. Rafe is just an all around good guy. Through some tough times with all three of them, they all came out with the best end result - love!
This was a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but ultimately, Lily finally realized just how strong she really is. She and Rafe had a great relationship - hot and sexy and sweet and sincere. Great combinations. Loved the characters. Loved the book. Loved the ending :)
Once again, Emma Wilder did an awesome job with both the male and female characters. It amazes me how she gives so many different changes in voice to each individual character.
