modesitt does it again imo. this trilogy is one of my favorites he has written. I am always intrigued to see the various systems of governance that Modesitt imagines to fix the flaws in current day systems, and then watch as he shows how even those systems themselves over time will develop flaws and need to be adjusted to deal with the reality of the corruption of power and money in all societies.

extremely obvious edits are jarring

the story was great. The reader was excellent, but I found myself completely ripped out of the story multiple times by the very obvious edits. The sound quality was so vastly different it sounded like a different person reading a few sentences or paragraphs before going back to normal.

For a first novel, this book is amazing. Well written and powerful. The species are unique, the main character is compelling. The dry humor throughout is a splash of levity in a heavy story.

Where does Peter Pan rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
My kids loved this story. When I read it to them it was one of their favorites. They did not enjoy this a version because they dislike the performance. They never listen to it.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
My kids love listening to Audio books but they do not want to finish this one. They say the narrator is to "annoying".
